Chestnut are very good. Not as good as the French ones but the individual pouches are perfect size and convenient for snack or breakfast. This is my second time ordering, this time I got 24 pouches. You can't beat the price of this particular brand.

Delicious ready to eat organic chestnuts! Tastes like freshly roasted chestnuts I used to snack on during winter vacation when I was a kid, but without the pain of having to peel them and clean up the mess afterward. Delicious right out of the bag, or warmed briefly. I like them best added to the vegetables with a roast beef or pork … potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, mushrooms, and the warmed chestnuts😋❣️

I prefer the taste of the other popular brand here on Amazon. The other brand also has fewer chestnuts that appear to have started going bad prior to processing, at least in the patches I have purchased.

Not sure why the high rating, but these are typical chinese chestnuts. They are brown, wet and mushy and are not the color of a walnut which most good quality roasted chestnuts are. They should also have a little crunch to them. They are kind of gross!!! You can't get your money back on them because Amazon doesn't give refunds on food, so if I were you I would stay away from these and get the ones that are from anywhere but China!!!
