Secure and breathable adhesive!
The breathable hypoallergenic adhesive on this catheter stabilizer is very good! It not only stays securely in place for seven days but also ensures a hassle-free removal process without the need for alcohol. I will definitely order more.

Change every seven days?
This suprapubic catheter stabilization device requires that one places the device over the insertion site and THEN insert a new catheter. The device needs to be changed weekly, which means inserting a new catheter weekly. Most people with suprapubic catheters are instructed to change catheters every 1-3 months. The concept of keeping the catheter in a more fixed position preventing trauma to the site is a great one, but in practice, this device is useless.

The best I've seen so far
I have sensitive skin and this product is very comfortable. The adhesive works very well and gives me confidence that things are secure. I will definitely be placing another order.

Theoretical design but functionally didn't work for me
I am a quadriplegic and always have difficulties keeping my incision free from irritation because of the direction of the catheter; this design theoretically helps direct the catheter straight out of the incision rather than sideways or up and down. However, the fact that the device must be in place before the catheter is inserted makes it so that to change the device, the catheter has to be changed. That isn’t something a quad wants to do more than once a month. The other aspect that made it unusable for me was that its large size (for both the adhesive tape and plastic pieces for the catheter) do not fit below my quad belly while sitting in my wheelchair. My stomach folds over the device which presses the device painfully into the rest of my abdomen and risks pressure sores. I have always wanted some device to direct the catheter straight out of the incision and wish this was the answer. But, I am not able to use the device.

Not useful for my needs
This product requires placement before a catheter is inserted. I didn't realize this to be the case.Being that so, I have had no use for this product as my catheter would not be changed for about 6 weeks. The idea (in my mind at least) would that you can simply unlock the device from the catheter as needed. It would be good to have the product description accurately reflect that it can only be used when inserting a new catheter only.
