Nice smooth edges. For me, it's a better shape than a bulldog clip. Good for paperwork, good for securing bags of pasta, etc. in the kitchen. Just what I wanted.

easy to use

I bought these to hold my artbooks open while I am using them as drawing reference. Clips are sturdy and easy to use for me, though maybe someone with joint problems would struggle cause you do need some force to open them up. Unfortunately I have found out the hard way that these are sharp enough to leave marks on paper they hold. My solution is to put microfiber cloth (for cleaning glasses) between the clip and the pages, not ideal but better than nothing.

These are cheap so I shouldn’t complain really. I bought them because I was unable to find proper bulldog clips and I’m a bit disappointed. They are strong and have a good grip but even though they are the same measurement (50mm) along the clip edge, the clip as a whole is smaller than the original bulldog so that it doesn’t open as wide, the levers are shorter and the barrel is not as deep. I use them to hold open or clip my paint pallets on to the edge of the book. I can do this with an original but these new ones do not open wide enough and that is the difference in quality and price so I will use them for something other than what I bought them for. Although the main title for this product does not call them Bulldog clips, it is mentioned in the description in brackets. This is misleading. These types of clips may be of the Bulldog style but they are not Bulldog clips unless they have the word Bulldog on them. I have attached a photo showing a comparison of this item (50mm) on the left with an original Bulldog clip (50mm) on the right which also displays the authentic brand name. In conclusion, these clips are fine as far as they go in their capacity but are not a patch on the originals. You get what you pay for.

I use these for closing cereal bags or any other food bags to keep products fresh. It works for me, even in the freezer. They don’t only have to be used for stationery.
