Great device to access that “forgotten space”.
Super easy install and works like a charm. I like that it looks clean and factory-like. For the price, it was a no brainer versus cobbling together a homemade solution. Really nice to be able to access that additional storage in the cab!

Convenient, practical, and simple.
Firstly some advice, scan the QR code and watch the video in it's entirety. If you do that the installation will be straightforward and easy to manage. Secondly, although it is a little on the expensive side it's worth every penny for what you get. This little device was well thought out and executed, it's a perfect little addition to any new F 150.

Little trick!
I just purchased a new 2024 F-150. As is my wont, the new truck got a lot of new toys: Tonneau cover, corner bed step, jumper cables, toolboxes etc. Potential for additional storage space for flattish stuff offered by this simple, clever Builtright Industries rear seat release, magically freeing two seat back's worth of storage for only $35 was an easy choice... or so I thought.Watching the install videos, the release seemed so easy to install, it was a no brainer. So, when it arrived today, I immediately went out to the truck, Torx set in hand and installed it. It was as easy as promised. Tested it a few times before locking the seat back in position, then pulled the fabric loop and... NOTHING! the seat was locked firmly in place! No matter how hard I yanked, the seat remained immobile.Under my breath I said things about the folks at Builtright that would have made a sailor blush... how the heck was I ever going to release the seat so I could return this obviously defective device for a refund. I pulled and yanked and even put the wrench through the fabric loop to exert more force. It was only then that I realized that I was pulling the factory installed child seat retainer. The seat release loop was just to the right of that. A gentle pull and the seat back released its death grip and leaned down.To the folks at Builtright, please accept my sincere apologies for the terrible things I said about you while struggling to remove the child seat securement loop. Your product worked EXACTLY as advertised, and provided convenient storage for a portfolio full of targets. If you aren't sure about buying this, do it. Ten minute install and works as advertised. To the person in the comment section that said buy the Chinese knock off for less, shame on you. These folks developed something good and make it in the USA, creating jobs and supporting manufacturing here. Offshoring manufacturing has hurt our country. China doesn't respect our intellectual property. Create jobs here and support our country by buying USA made products whenever possible. Now, the little trick. Don't pull on the baby seat retainer. No matter how hard you do, the seat won't come down.

Nice Improvement to Factory
My application was 2018 F-150 Supercab.Factory pull was attached to the latch, but it is short. I was able to reach my arm behind the seat to unlatch for installation. The wrench unlatch would not have worked for me. Installation was easy. Product seems durable and works well.A suggestion for improvement would be a more rigid pull that could hold the flexible strap above the back seat as you are latching it in place. The strap wants to fall behind the seat-back as you re-latch.Also, the latch mechanism on mine had a square bolt head. The pull strap attachment piece was round. You're supposed to be able to fit this piece around the shaft and pull to snap it into place for a snug fit. This scenario would not work with the square head. I had to flip the piece around for it to work Instead of being snug, the strap attachment piece is loose inside the bracket, but I think the bracket end flap will hold it in place. It is a good product, and is working fine.

Easy install
Got it installed pretty easily. Works great to open the backseats. Unfortunately it doesn’t lock back in place. He actually have to move the bottom of the seat up once and down again in order for it to lock into place. But I believe that is the default way the system was designed and adding the suggestion really wouldn’t make a difference in that way.

Works great in 23 F150. Watch the install video and you'll have no problems.
Great little device for F150 rear seat. Let's you drop the back of the rear seat with the pull of a strap. It really is easy to install. Took me about 10 minutes. Word of Advice, watch the video, the entire video. It'll save you time and make the install go smoothly. I wish I had bought this when I bough my truck in 23. Also word of advice, drop your back seat to see if you have any room to use before you order. Some higher end F150 have stereo equipment and amps and speakers behind the seat, so there may no be any extra room. Heck, I'd buy it anyway. Makes it a lot easier to get the rear seat back down if you have to work on that stereo or you wanted to upgrade. Great product for a fair price. Once again, watch the install video.
