Solution to it not working in my review
EDIT: if your shaker stops working, here is the steps how to fix itUninstall the app “SmartShaker3”.Remove the pairing record of “SmartShaker3” under the Bluetooth menu of your phone. (Go into your phone settings and into the Bluetooth settings and look for smartshaker 3 and unpair it.)Install the app “SmartShaker3”.Slide the switch to on position on the SmartShaker 3 device.Press and hold the snooze button for 10 seconds until there is a one time vibration.Open the app and click “Next” till the Searching page. The searching can take up to 3 minutes to finish. Then it should pick up your smartshaker, pair it and then all should work again.I think it more has to do with your phone that gets updated by your phone manufacturer like Samsung or apple, etc that stuffs up the smartshaker so it just needs to be re-paired again as per the steps above. After I paired mine again, I tested the alarm by setting a time 2 min to go off and it worked. I noticed that it is on the same time as my time now that we're in daylight savings, in Australia but when not in daylight savings mode in our country, they shaker app time is a hour ahead of the actual time so to set your alarm one hour ahead of actual time you want to wake up.-----I love this product itself. It is brilliant, very strong vibration it actually wakes you so it works very well! The only gripe I have is the app on the phone, the app is rubbish and the app developers need to be made aware of this, so manufacturers I hope you see this and let the app developers know their app is not good - issues with app are *no dates, only days *no choice to choose your own timezone in Australia, instead they have this DST for Australia which means the alarm goes off one hour earlier, not good! So if you want to get up at 7.30 am, then set the time for 8.30 am! Pretty stupid! So the app needs a huge overhaul!

Issues waking up? Not anymore.
I sleep like a log mired in mud with ten of the fattest frogs atop it. I have slept through earthquakes up to Magnitude 7. I have slept through sonic booms that rattle the windows. I have six alarms and if I'm lucky the fourth one will start to wake me up. God himself could sound the trumpet at the time of Revelation to call up the souls of believers to Heaven and I'll still be firmly locked in dreamland. This product helps immensely. It's not a silver bullet, I've still slept through it before if sufficiently tired, but it boosts the chances I will not be late to work or miss a train or wake up at 2 PM on Saturday with half the day gone. I place it beneath my pillow, just to the side of my head, and those six alarms now have a heavy vibration in addition to audio. You can't ignore the vibration either, it's not super powerful but it will be felt enough to get you to respond to it unless you enjoy feeling your skull shiver. You can probably boost your chances of waking up if you put it in a metal container and have neighbors that aren't right on the other side of the wall to hear the unholy racket every morning. Not that I can do that because I do have neighbors that close to me.Charging is simple, I just use the same USB-C cable as I do my phone and when it says it can hold a charge for weeks it's not lying. I last charged this thing almost two weeks ago and it's still got all four lights lit up on a battery check, though I only use it for sleeping rather than phone messages or calls. It does work for both, but only if you keep the app open and don't mind getting startled when it kicks off and dances across your desk, table, or other hard surface. You can take it wherever you travel as well, I just toss it into my suitcase and away I go.All in all, well worth the purchase. If it works to wake me up then chances are it'll be fantastic for you.

Good product, works well, but can be improved.
I'm really hard of hearing so mobile phone alarms don't wake me, and a lot of bedside alarms also don't do it for me. So I tried this, and it works well to wake me, more often than not. The problems are these: It's so smoothly finished it's hard to keep in place or to hold in the hand, it's easily dropped, but especially it also easily slips out from under the pillow and onto the floor while I sleep, so doesn't wake me. I hurt my back one morning when I tried to find it somewhere under the bed. So now I insert it inside the pillow case to keep it with me but then can't get at it easily to stop it when it does wake me. Setting the alarm is a bit complicated too, It pairs well with my phone but the settings are confusing and sometimes I set it for the wrong day, and sometimes it gets set for multiple days when I only wanted the one alarm, so I get woken when I don't want if it's on repeat, or not woken when I do want if I don't notice which DAY the thing is set for. Would be good if there was a SIMPLE option to set the alarm for the NEXT occurrence of a selected time without having to do all that mental arithmetic before bed about picking the day. It would also be good if it had a little display on the device (backlit when I pick it up) to tell me when the next alarm is set for, so I don't have to go to the phone just to check every time. The vibration strength too, at minimum is still way too strong. I would like lower it further. The reason I got the pink one is that I can see it easily when I'm looking for it. The black one is really hard to find in a darked room (I have an earlier model in black and that was the case, but harder to set up and was unreliable) and when I go to check out of a hotel the pastel colour makes it easier to spot. Perhaps a location feature would be good to build into the app so I can tell my phone to find my device by forcing it to buzz? Anyway. It DOES do the job, but takes some getting used to and can be improved.
