Louisville Ladder 4-Foot Fiberglass Step Ladder, 300-Pound Load Capacity, Type IA, L-3016-04

I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: Bought this to replace my heavy wood ladders. I am now 65 years old, and carrying a heavy ladder is harder than it used to be. BUT I still need a heavy duty ladder to hold me and keep me feeling safe and secure due to my fear of heights. These heavy duty fiberglass ladders with aluminum are so easy to move around, and yet feel so safe and heavy duty that it's amazing the difference. There is no give or nudging when using them like what I felt on my wooden ladders. The rating is perfect for the average person. I keep a few different sizes in my barn for household outside projects. I expect this ladder to outlive me by many years. Very strong. It appears to be a high quality product. I have only used it a few months, so I cannot tell how many years it will last, but it is doing exactly what they claim it should do. No problems or complaints. It arrived to me from Amazon safely inside a large HD cardboard box without any damage. EXTRA NOTE: I see many reviews on here where people have Ladders arrive damaged or scratched up. So many reviews that I was nervous to buy it from Amazon and hesitated a while. Here's what I think I figured out. It seems like these ladders ship from the manufacturer without any protection. So that means if you buy it from a third party seller the ladder might be shipping directly from the manufacturer to you without any protection and that is when the damage probably is occurring. If you buy the ladder thru a 3rd party seller but from the Amazon warehouse, or if you buy it from Amazon directly, I think the ladder still travels to Amazon exposed. This is where any damage might occur. However, it seems like the chances are slimmer of a group of ladders being delivered to Amazon getting damaged, than if one ladder is shipped to your house directly. But once the ladder arrives to Amazon, they put it inside an Amazon box before shipping it to your home. At least that is how mine arrived. I ordered it thru a 3rd party seller but had it shipping from Amazon. My ladder arrived without a single concern or flaw. But the Amazon cardboard box was beat up pretty badly indicating to me that if the ladder was NOT inside the box, the ladder itself might've been beat up. Just my observation and opinion. Good Luck.

I love the ladder. However, mine is very hard to open and close. I don't want to lube it as oil attracts dust and dirt. Hopefully it will loosen up over time. Mine came in a correct box and shrink wrapped. People talk about scratches on here. Mine had them as well, but guess what. It's a ladder. The scratches haven't slowed it down one bit. They give it caricature.

My son loves it for his apartment needs. Nice quality.

I like the ladder but the storage and/or shipping has left scuffs on the fiberglass and a good amount of dirt and dust on it. Came in a box from Amazon big enough to fit 2 of them but no packing material to protect it from bouncing around in the oversized box.After prying plastic keepers off the legs to spread the ladder, the center braces took a bit of effort to open but locked in securely and the ladder was solid and the legs flat on the concrete without any uneven wobble. I weigh about 180 lbs and stepping up on it felt very solid. It closed more easily than it opened.The cosmetic “scars” don’t bother me and I don’t think it was “used” as some reviewers seemed to believe but can see why they might think that. To me, it is a tool that I am sure I will add more nicks and scuff marks to. 4 stars IF you can deal with a new ladder showing some transit and storage marks. Hosing it off cured the accumulated dust and dirt and I am happy with its functionality. Note that while the to will accommodate some hand tools, there is no platform for paint cans. I would buy it again but I’m probably less fussy than some. For @$75.00, it’s a bargain IMO.

This is a well made ladder. It is sturdy and light weight. It opens and closes easily and can be stored upright, on it's side or flat.I highly recommend this product.
