Easy to load/unload bikes PLUS good customer service.
UPS trashed the box and lost the center bracket plus a few other pieces, but the Pipeline rack customer service responded quickly and replaced all the lost pasts with no problems or questions asked. The Rack took some patience to assembly (like 'assembly required' does) so a little time consuming but not unexpected. It all went together perfectly and other then cutting one of the support poles to fit my 2012 Tacoma it worked perfectly. I really like that this can be installed into my truck in just a few minutes and removed just as fast. Note: It only needs 1 strap to hold it in the bed of the pickup..... super slick! And the tire brackets hold the bike tires very securely. 1 velcro strap to hold the bike front bike tire into the bracket and a bungy cord on the back tire (just for piece of mind) and I'm ready to go. It only takes 2 minutes from start to finish when loading or unloading the bikes Great bike rack and great service.

Perfect for three bikes!
This rack is actually pretty well made and engineered well. You can adjust for wheel width and size with many ways to adjust. It does take a while to get it perfect for each bike but so far, it seems to be a perfect fit. The rack attaches to the truck using cam straps by pulling the rack downward and forward in the bed. While it will probably be fine, I plan on using ratcheting straps to secure it better.Since it is only attached via the straps, it is not secure so plan accordingly. I will lock the bikes to the rack and lock the rack to the cargo cleats in the bed.I made a bike rack out of PVC for the same purpose but it lacked to ability to adjust for different tire widths. This racks is very flexible if you have multiple bikes to haul.Assembly was typical. Not difficult but a pain in the rear to get it put together.Photo is tie down system.

Tips for Tacoma owners, Tacomas with tonneau covers, and owners of the Specialized Turbo Vado SL
I purchased the dual bike kit and the tie down cleats for the 3rd gen. Tacoma bed rails. As others have mentioned, the assembly and setup for the bikes is overly complicated, but I figured it all out over 2-3 hours. The big issue came when I attempted to strap it into the bed.Issue number one: I have a Truxedo Lo Pro tonneau cover, which has it's own rail on the front of the bed.The front tires of the bikes were hitting the rail before contacting the front of the rack. Because of this, I had to offset the rack from the front of the bed using a couple of 2X4s, which I ended up mounting to the vertical stays of the rack with some screws.Issue number two: Since I had purchased the tie down cleats for the Tacoma bed rails, I assumed (probably my fault, although it seemed to match the directions) that I should mount the bed rail tie down close the front of the rack, clip the carabiner through that, and the slide the straps through the carabiner. When I did that, the rack would slide towards the back of the bed with ease. I was not happy at this point, because it made no sense as my setup matched the photos. After pondering sending it back for 30 minutes, and trying different things with the bed rail mounts, I finally clipped the carabiner to the lower mounting points in the bed. Voila! The rack stayed in place, for the most part. The instructions should state: "use the lower-most mounting point available for the carabiner."Save yourself $30 and don't buy the bed rail tie downs. The Tacoma has plenty of tie down points already, and you'll just confuse yourself during the install. For owners of the Specialized Turbo Vado SL: I had read a review of this rack that stated it worked with the Vado SL. It does not. I was not happy to find that I had to modify the bike to make it happen. If you attempt to mount the front tire first, the lower fender extension is in the way. If you attempt to mount it via the rear tire, the derailleur and chain are in the way. I had no choice but to remove the extension on the front fender. Also, the tailgate CANNOT be closed after loading the Vado. It *might* close if you don't have to offset the rack with 2X4s as I had to do, but I doubt it.I haven't tried to transport our bikes yet. Hopefully the rack is up to the task.

Great rack
It was a bit tricky to assemble but it works great - it's super easy to adjust for the various combinations of bikes we haul - road, mountain, & hybrid.. I am very happy with this rack. It's well-made and looks great too.

Not worth it
No dice. Not close to what was described. Flimsy, and not durable. Ultimately sent it back for a refund.

Not the best design
Product isn't made with the best materials and the design is more complicated than it needs to be. It does work as designed, just not the best design out there.

Worked great, just as advertised in our Ford Ranger
We needed these to haul two heavy e-bikes in our rather small Ford Ranger pickup. They are easy to install and worked great! I have no concerns about the bicycles moving around while we transport them.

Lots of thought went into this design and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I am happy.
The Pipeline Rack people are extremely respectful and considerate. They communicated well with me and went out of their way to get my rack to me within just a couple of days so I could use it for a big bike ride I was planning. The rack did exactly what it was supposed to do and kept my bike safe and sound in the back of my pickup for over 200 miles. I am very happy and would gladly do business with them again and refer this company to my friends.
