When you need a reducer.
Build a water fountain out of PVC 3/4" pipes (2), the pump pushed too thick a flow, slowed it down with the 1/2" and now it looks more attractive with the other (5) fountain pipes. Can also control the flow with a 3/4" shutoff valve towards the top of the pipe for easy adjustment.

Exactly what I ordered
I used this fitting to transition from 3/4” to 1/2” PVC piping in a project to add water to a sink on my BBQ island. Project is finished with no leaks.

Your information with this product is misleading, you said 40 PVC reducing coupling 3/4” to 1/2”. It’s too expensive for 1 piece, it’s less than $1 in home depot. Customer like me will think it’s 40 pieces. Don’t buy this coupling it’s very expensive, just go to jome depot
