This stuff is amazing. If you normally burn out in the sun, take one beforehand, but also use sunscreen. You will be protecting your skin so much better than with sunscreen alone!

Great product

Me and my wife have been taking this product for over 1 year now. The benefits have been different for both of us. The benefits for my wife have been more significant than for me. First, it does help protect you from sun burns and sun damage. I have also noticed a significant improvement in body aches and specifically in my back. I exercise a lot and over the last year, my back pain has been reduced by about 80%. I still feel some shoulder pain, but in general there is a substantial improvement. I have not noticed any improvement with vision and I don't know if I am getting any benefits from the antioxidant properties, but I assume that I am receiving these benefits.Now for my wife, the benefits for her are much more pronounced. She was very skeptical about taking this supplement, but she is fair skinned and always gets sun burned very easily. I can spend all day out in the sun and I come back in with darker skin. She can spend 20 minutes in the sun and she turns into a lobster (sub burned). I told her about the proposed benefits from the sun and said she should try it to see if it works. So we both started taking this about 1 year ago. The effects are not immediate, it takes about 30 to 60 days before you start to notice. First we both noticed that our skin tone was more peach looking, not a huge benefit, but definitely healthier looking. About 90 days after use, my wife started noticing that the sun spots / age spots on her face started to fade. She thought that she was imagining this. After about 3 months, my wife mentioned to me that her freckles / sun spots were almost gone. At that time I told her that this was one of the potential benefits of the Astaxanthin. By the 4th month, my wife's face was clear of age spots. She was absolutely amazed. I was kind of blown away also because the effect was absolutely visible.We know this effect is due to the Astaxanthin for the following reasons. We initially started taking the 4 mg per day. After 30 days, I started purchasing the 12mg product because I read that the benefits were more noticeable. We took 12mg for 4 months, but then I felt it was too expensive so I started purchasing the 4 mg product again.After switching back to the 4mg lower dose, my wife noticed that her age spots had started to come back, not completely, but just started to become visible again. So, she decided to increase her dosage of the Astaxanthin. She increased her dosage by taking 4mg, and then 8mg every other day. So on average 6mg a day. At this dosage her age spots / sun spots are gone. I take 4 mg per day and this seems to work for me.The important factor for Astaxanthin to work is that you must use it consistently with a high quality fish oil. I have been taking fish oil supplements for 10 years, now my wife now takes fish oils and Astaxanthin daily. At this time, my wife will not allow us to run out of Astaxanthin. Astaxanthin is one of the daily supplements that we take.It seems like everyone gets different benefits and my wife just happened to hit the jackpot and gets a huge benefit because of her skin type. I have not noticed any blemishes on myself that have faded, but then again I have skin type that rarely ever burns. I just turn brown. I take the Astaxanthin for the joint relief that it provides to me.Hopefully this is helpful.

This product came to me with all of the soft gels fused together. It's like they were all melted together and completely unusable. Purchase at your own risk. Can't tell if it's any good because it was unusable and I had to throw it all away. Won't buy again.

I currently have absolutely no reaction to bee and wasp stings.I was so allergic to bees and wasps that a single sting would send me into Anaphylaxis Shock. And now when I receive a venom shot equal to 6 bee stings, and concurrently a shot equal to 6 wasp stings, I have absolutely no reaction.The reason I became interested in this anti-oxidant / anti-inflammatory was because it would "significantly lower blood pressure" and I wanted to get off of my prescription medication and get results naturally. I had no idea, at the time I started taking this, that it would cure my severe allergy to bee stings.I am totally convinced that the anti-inflammatory effects of Astaxanthin has cured me.I have now received full-dose-shots for the third consecutive time without ANY reaction. This past week I received two full doses of venom that would be equal to 6 bee stings in one arm and 6 wasp stings in the other. I had absolutely no reaction. No redness. no swelling. Not even the smallest bump like a misquote bite.I was scheduled to get weekly shots on a six-month program. I was exactly half way through the schedule when I had to switch clinics to nearby my winter home. The new Allergy Clinic mistakenly gave me two full doses of 300 micro-grams of venom instead of the scheduled 48 micro-grams. Their error would have certainly sent me into Anaphylaxis Shock if I had not started taking Astaxanthin about a week earlier. Before I left for Florida I had just completed the half-way mark of getting weekly shots, one for bees and another for wasps. The amount started at .003 micro-grams and I had progressed to 48 micrograms in the 12 week period. At my request the doctor had tried to give me two series of shots on the same day to speed up the program. That was not going to work as I was having too much reaction with the scheduled doses as they were being increased each week.When I left my northern residence for Florida, I stopped to get my shots on the way out of town. I had the usual minor reaction as it felt like I got stung in each arm and I had about a quarter-size minor swelling and it was a little itchy.That first series of shots in Florida produced less reaction than normal and I had received doses that were 6 times what I should have received. I subsequently got a second series of full doses, and now have completed a third series. The reaction has decreased from minor to absolutely none.The only thing that changed was the fact that I had now been taking Astaxanthin. 4mg capsules 3 times a day. (After I get my blood pressure under control I hope to take just 4mg per day)Do your own research. I am a believer.
