Bought this for making homemade protein ice cream and it has worked perfect. Haven't tried any other brand so I didn't have anything to compare it to but other than that I am very happy with the product and how it works

I am mixing it with Castile soap, water, and honey to create a little thicker shampoo than a regular Castile soap. Works well. Smells kind of funny, but after adding essential oils, it's ok.

I've been trying to make more of my favorite fraps at-home to cut down on my Starbucks budget for solidarity during the current (organic-)boycott against Starbucks (#FreePalestine). But my frappucinos always ended up with just the "wrong" texture, which really upset my ability to drink it due to my autism making certain sensory experiences unacceptable no matter how hard I try to ignore them and enjoy the drink anyway. I eventually heard adding xanthum gum helped the fraps texture, and saw a couple videos including this bag specifically, and it does help a lot! I'm still working on perfecting the taste, but I can drink past a "wrong" taste as long as it's still close enough now that the texture is much more ideal. Starbucks' Frappuccino Base is basically xanthum gum, water, and sugar apparently(? So I have heard anyway); so, again, this helps a lot if you want to get a texture more standardized from what comes from Starbucks into your own home. Highly recommend! And you don't even have tp use a lot per drink, so this single baggy will last me a long time! Definitely buy this, and then look up your favorite Starbucks' frap receipes; they've all been leaked at least once lol

I’m partly surprised it’s rated so high, but also not because (as of time of review) the company pays Amazon to be a recommended alternative and the top search result.I bought this because USAAnthony's Xanthan Gum is out of stock/delayed, and it was a paid recommended substitute.Long review, shortened:-Don’t recommend-Need 3-4x more than competitors-NOT third party tested-Impacts flavor, (cat closer to 1/2 tbsp levels).I’ll try Bob Red Mills next time if Anthony’s isn’t available.
