Solaray Calcium and Magnesium Asporotate Capsules | 240 Count

This item saved me from going to a neurologist a few years back. I was getting nerve tingling & shocks in my left arm/hand -especially bad at night in bed - & a friend of mine went to his surgeon because he was getting shocks in his right neck & shoulder. That doc told him that he had pinched nerves in his neck, I believe it was C2 &3, and that if he had shocks in his lower arms/hands it would be C4-5 (maybe I don't have those numbers exactly right any more but they are close). So they fused his neck vertebrae. I decided no way was I going to do that & maybe strengthening my bones (vertebrae included of course) would help so I tried this supplement 2-3x day together with a hydroxyappetite calcium and ipriflavone for absorption. It took about a month & all the tingling/shocks went away & have never come back. I still take this supplement 1x day.

I take one capsule daily for my magnesium supplement. I have been using them for several years.

Broken capsules and powder everywhere! I’ve ordered this brand several times to Amazon and this is the first time that this is happened to me. At least 12 capsules were empty and the powder was found throughout the entire bottle. Anybody else have this issue?

I'm a 54 year old woman who's been taking calcium citrate and magnesium tablets for years, thinking it was a well absorbed form of calcium. I recently had a bone density test and am in the early stages of osteoporosis. I also have been having intense calf/foot cramps at night that wake me up. My doctor said it could be calcium or magnesium deficiency. I did some research on calcium supplements and found that calcium citrate has low absorption rates and that calcium orotate and asporotate were much better. I tried the Solaray Asporotates because they were more cost effective than other brands orotates (very expensive) and I haven't had any leg cramps since i switched. Don't know yet about the bone density but I am hopeful seeing how this supplement has made such a difference in my legs.

An herbal blend of Calcium and Magnesium that sensitive people can absorb without pain, cramping and other not so polite symptoms to add to this review. I've been using it for years since menopause. I have incredibly, healthy bones for my 72 years, and I recommend this to anyone and everyone, especially you ladies as you approach menopause. Solaray has great products, and you can trust that the bottle tells you the truth about it's contents. This has been a recent problem with some store-bought brands that don't have anything in them that they advertise on the bottle. That's fraud and it shouldn't be allowed. Your health and well being are the most important things to protect. Don't try to maintain it on the cheap.

It is akay but there was too much leakage from the capsules.

This product is advertised to contain Calcium and Magnesium in three forms, aspartate, citrate and orotate. In terms of the readiness for the body to use Calcium, orotate is better than aspartate, and both are much better than citrate. This is also the order of the cost if one buys them separately.By coining the word Asporotate, which leaves the hint of citrate, Solaray avoids disclosing the breakdown of the three ingredients. This is akin to selling an alloy of gold, silver and iron without telling the ratio, and call it Silvergold.

My husband uses this product on a regular basis. We are confident we are getting the brand requested. Ordering is great, however, receiving the product is sometimes a little tricky. This is our fault. We have a PO Box and have a special order address. We always get it, but sometimes a day or two late. Otherwise we like the service and products.
