Red Kap Men's Denim Bib Overall

I have 3 40-foot oak trees that were felled around my property to chop. I grabbed my axe and jeans just didn't feel right. I bought these to embrace my inner lumberjack and they work alright.The main problem is the left clasp won't stay on the button and it's 90-PLUS degrees here so when I wear them without a shirt my neighbors all see my nipple.

I have been looking for a pair of pair of denim overalls that both fit well fit when working, standing, and sitting as well as holds up to the abuse of of construction work. I've tried Key, Carhartt, Red Kap, Dickies, and others. For a long time I was very happy with the performance of the Key overalls but their sizes run a little small in my opinion and while standing, they fit fine but through a full range of motion, the sides would blow out, wear out, and just hang open. Not ideal. The body fit on the Red Kaps was great but the inseam was insane. I needed to cuff almost 6 inches out of the leg. Carhartt is bulletproof but heavy. A real workhorse but sometimes you just need a bit lighter build. I had high hopes for the Red Kap. I like their work shirts a lot- once I figured out the right size. I should have known to expect poor fit. The shirts run two sizes too small and these bibbs fit great around the waist but the legs... jeez. I ordered a 32" inseam and they came out 37" the bib and straps adjusted to fit properly but the top of bib is almost to my throat. I dont know what beanpole form they are using to design these, but be aware, the sizing is peculiar. I'm keeping them though. I like the feel so ill just hem the legs myself as I can't imagine what would show up if I ordered a 28" inseam. Some freaky shorts?? Who knows.UPDATEThere is a lot of shrinkage after washing. Nearly all of my issues with fitment resolved after a few washes. If these had a zip fly, they would be great.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt the need for these overalls. I did quite a bit of research for all the overalls you can buy on Amazon. These seemed like the best bet, and I am not disappointed. The denim itself feels very quality. It's got a stiffer feeling like raw, unwashed denim, but it's still vey soft. The big pocket on the front is great. It allows for more or bigger items like a phone. Also, the hand and back pockets are deep, and the hand ones are lined with a durable feeling canvas. My one hangup with these are the fly. I was excited to learn that they're button fly! But there's just not enough buttons. I'll be adding another soon. As others have said, and as is normal for overalls, order larger than what you'd wear in pants. Measure your widest part, hips, or belly if you've got one and size off that. (Imagine pulling your jeans waist over your gut and that's how that size will feel! One size (2") for a snug but comfortable fit, or 2 sizes(4") for a loose comfortable fit.

BUTTON FLY! I’m surprised no one has mentioned it and it isn’t in the description, to some it may not be a big deal, but for others it may. I personally don’t care as I bought these for work on the railway doing track construction so theyll be beaten up in no time. Incredibly good quality tho, you can feel they are a heavy duty denim, they’ll feel a lot more towards work wear than your casual denim. The craftsmanship is great! I’ve heard some people complain about the buttons to fasten the straps on red kap bibs because they are more unique shaped than other hook and eye bibs but they go on very easily. Definitely will keep red kap in mind for future work wear, especially the quality you get for the price

I'm 6.5 360lb and the strap were not long enough for my chest and the thight eere too small too in circonference
