I bought two of these, and I'm glad I did! My Goddaughter and I both love Adventure Time with a special love for the vampire queen Marceline. Adventure Time has gone to great lengths to craft a fun background history between Marceline and the Ice King, and I can't wait to learn more about the two of them. In short, Marcy was a small child, lost and alone amidst the debris of a world catastrophe when a kindly scientist by the name of Simon Petrakoff finds and adopts her. They travel together, and this is when Marcy notices that her friend carries a large gold crown with him.Whenever danger occurs, Simon puts the crown on his head, and he gains the power to control cold and snow and ice, but doing so, it steals away his memories and his sanity, making him cackle and laugh maniacally as he utterly vanquishes the attackers. Each time he uses the crown, he loses more and more of his self and his control, and Marcy begs him not to use it, but survival calls for it over and over. Finally, Simon decides that Marcy would be better off without his growing insanity, and he leaves her, both of them in tears over the parting. The relationship between the two has delightful elements of father and daughter, as well as older and younger siblings/playmates, and as years go by, Simon's personality totally disappears and he becomes the irascible and sometimes very silly Ice King, while she has matured into a snarky teen vampire girl who plays guitar and sometimes makes bad decisions. Ice King still loves her, and it shows in things he writes from time to time, like the song "Just You and Me Against the World". Marcy cries for him sometimes, remembering how kindly he was, and how much she misses the person he used to be.This book is actually two books together. The Enchiridion (a handbook for adventurers!) ,and then flip the book over, and it becomes Marcy's diary and notebook, filled with her thoughts and songs she considers private biz. Both are chock full of Adventure Time lore and characters and is the perfect gift to give to a youngster of either gender. I look forward to reading mine with my Goddaughter, and we will laugh at who remembers things or gets to the end of a chapter first!

This book can get a little pricey, but believe me when I say it's worth every penny. Incredibly informative and entertaining.Slightly more on the mature and/or dark side.And it seems like the popular opinion is that this book is canon. The show contradicts itself more than this book contradicts the show, tbh... and there is a TON of major, major potential lore information in here.All I can say is if you are interested enough in the show to searching for extraneous content like these official books, you NEED to check this out.

adds so many sad, beautiful but well written layers to the lore. marcy’s scrapbook especially is just so so special. if you love this show, highly recommend it

The corners of the book and the spine were all damaged. The book is still readable, just kinda sucks because I was planning on displaying it.

Bough this for my child who has a hyperfixation on Adventure Time. It did not disappoint. Book arrived in prefect condition, and much faster than expected. For days now, my kiddo has been flapping their little arms and bopping around the house with bursts of excitement, all happy stims as they make their way through the book! Highlight of our holiday. The artwork is gorgeous, BTW. My kid is turning me into a fan.

For some reason I was expecting two separate books in a box or sleeve. It is put together very cleverly (no spoilers), it is very Adventure Time. Great for any fan.

The quality of the book is more than I expected. Even at a glance one could tell that this is 100% original. The only issue I have is that it was packed in just a paper envelope.

ambos são lindos, com estilos de arte únicos e maravilhosos. o enchiridion é engraçado e esclarece bastante coisa, explica algumas questões importantes do universo de hda e é repleto de fatos interessantes sobre heróis e magos. o scrapbook da marcy é fantástico. simplesmente fascinante. estou realmente sem palavras pra descrever o livro, mas poderia usar todos os adjetivos positivos existentes. revela MUITA coisa sobre a história da marceline e do simon. não acho que seja uma leitura destinada às crianças, já que (o scrapbook principalmente) é incrivelmente profundo emocionalmente, e esse público não aproveitaria o conteúdo inteiramente. no entanto, a própria série tem esse aspecto, e muitos acham que se tratam de um show infantil. fazer o quê. enfim. vale muito a pena, e mesmo que você não goste muito da série, ainda pode rir com as bobagens do enchiridion.

This book is amazing. Is funny, it contains amazing art and finally we can see the content of Enchiridion and Marcy's journal.

Admitamos que es una pena que solo lo editen en ingles.Pero si eres fan te dara igual. Me parecio muy original el hacer un dos en uno con el libro. Que la mitad sea el enchiridion y la otra mitad el diario de marcy.Una vez en mis manos he de decir que no desiluciona en nada. Tiene cosas muy interesantes sobre la historia de marcy que ya solo por eso, si eres fan, deberias tener este libro en casa.En cuanto al libro en si tapa dura con contraportada protectora. La impresion y la calidad del papel excelente
