Bowl, Stainless Steel and Plastic Bowl, Extra Large, 10 1/2" x 3 1/2", Black

I have 3 Greyhounds and ordered 3 of these to replace the metal bowls that slip. I ordered the biggest size which is big enough. They never slide and except for wiping off the exteriors, I just pop the metal bowls in the DW. I will get some extra bowls as most of my current metal bowls are a bit big. Easy to carry and each dog recognizes his or her own bowl. Only wish there were more color choices for the bases, but well made and look to last a long time.

I am very happy with these bowls by Kakadu. I love how stylish they are with the colored base, yet are still very easy to keep clean. All you have to do is remove the stainless steel insert and stick it in the dishwasher. They wash very easily and come out sparkling with no spots. I first ordered the small size for my maltese, but it turned out too small. However, the medium size is a perfect fit for her! Another great feature is that the bowls stay in place while she is eating and drinking. So, I definitely recommend these bowls if you are looking for both style and function!

Absolutely LOVE these bowls. My large terrier mix easily pushes empty bowls all over the kitchen, but these are super sturdy, they don't slide, they clean easily, and they're just the right size. Highly recommended!

The bowl is nice. It is pretty. It's nice you can take out the stainless steel part to wash. NOTHING wrong as a feeding bowl.BUTThe DESCRIPTION should tell many many OUNCES it holds, instead of or in addition to, the dimensions. I thought it would hold over a gallon (I'm a math deficient and I could not imagine the dimensions) because it said a large dog. I have a 50- and a 30- pound dog (and three cats). Even indoors I have to check it at least twice a day for water. As a feeding bowl it's probably about right for a rottie.In sum, as a FEEDING bowl, it's 5 stars. Great product but be careful when ordering size is confusing. I have two similar bowls that I purchased at a pet store and wanted a third for my third cat. I ordered the small but when it arrived it was too small, so I had to order again, the medium this time. It wasn't worth sending the first one back to exchange it, so I was disappointed. So just be aware that the measurements are from the wider, flared bottom edge across, not from the top stainless steel rim to rim bowl section, that's the mistake I made when I originally measured my other two bowls.

I first bought this because it was Red the fact that it came with a Stainless Steel was cool too.Much to my surprise the stainless steel bowl started to rust.Save your Money.

We have a big lab, and like most labs, she ended up pushing her bowl around as she ate. We had tried several bowls before we bought this one. This bowl stays in place perfectly on our hardwood kitchen floor. I don't think we'll have to worry about this bowl converting itself to a chew toy (like our last couple of bowls).One caveat, though -- this says "Extra Large" but it really isn't all that big. It is about as wide as a standard dinner plate. I'm not sure of the exact capacity, but we feed our dog 2 cups of kibble twice a day, and this bowl is a little more than half full. If you got a beast of a dog (like a Mastiff or a big Newfoundland) you might need a bigger bowl especially if your mutt is a messy eater.

Ordered two of these (small size) for a 20lb dog. He is fed twice daily with 1/2 cup of kibble mix each time. This fills the bowl. Other bowl is used for water. Very convenient as the stainless steel bowls are light, easy to pick up and clean. For my dog, borderline between this size and one up. Water bowl needs refilling more often than with a larger bowl. Plastic base works well keeping bowl in place & making it convenient to replace the bowl at each feeding.
