I REALLLLLY want to love it....
Additional review: Found another issues with the player. The player cuts off 1 sec of the file at the end. If its music you probably wouldn't notice at all. But since I'm listening to audiobooks. That 1 second would mean I didn't finish hearing the end of the sentence. (previous part of the review would still be okay for me to keep. but not this part, so it is going back. I was going to give it 3 stars for the audio. But now it's 2 stars due to this problem. If I were only listening to music only. I would probably give it 4 stars.Previous reviewFirst of all, the sound is great especially when it comes to the audio files it supports. BUT I bought this for audiobooks and music. So usually it base on file names, but after transferring. I found that it does not play by filename. After some research, it is base on metadata. That is a problem for most people since you will need a program to change the metadata and you still have to change it one at a time. Some audiobooks have over 500 files and some even more than 2000 files. So this is a no go for me. Filenames can change easy.. but not metadata, if I were using it as just a music player. Then this is great. Sadly I'm not. OHHH, the wheel is a bit too sensitive to turn which is a problem since it is also a button. So when trying to push down as a button, it would turn as well.

Best value for lossless audio
Fantastic little product. I can play al my non-AAc codecs on this thing. I plugged it into my appl computer and dragged over folders of music of various flavours. Aiff, Wav, Flacs, etc and it played them all flawlessly. Great value too as every other lossless play is more expensive than this one. And your memory is a card which you can update yourself to as large or small as you want, or have multiple cards. I was very happy using this while camping. Lots of battery time even in the cold. The only thing I haven't figured out that I don't like so much is that it doesn't seem to keep the songs in the order that the artists intended. This is probably easily fixed but I haven't figured it out yet...not a big deal unless you are listening to a concept album and you want to listen to it in order.

To sort the songs in the same order as the album:
For those who are wondering how to sort the songs in the iHaper in the same order as on the CD, you have to go into the metadata of each file and pre-pend 01-, 02-, etc to the name of each song. The player will then sort the songs appropriately, as it reads the song titles from the metadata, and not from the DOS file name itself.

The sound is pretty good, the interface is SH!T
The sound is pretty good, no complaints there. But the interface is such a let down. Folders show up by order of when they were transferred, album art are all distorted, makes it so friendly to use... I really hope u can revamp the interface and make better use of the button.

I really wanted to like it
This is a pretty great mp3 player. It's nicely built, the control scheme isnt too bad, etc. Has a lot of power to drive bigger headphones too.Unfortunately the inability to sort by the actual order of the songs + no gapless playback is a dealbreaker for concept albums which you'd like to be able to listen to the whole way through

Too loud
Very good sound! However, even at the very minimum volume setting, it is way too loud!!! It hardly ever displays the artwork of the CD you're listening to. It's a paper weight!!
