I own a Tag Heuer watch, which until recently I wore everyday until I bought a Smart Watch for training / monitoring health. This meant the Tag watch was not being worn and being kinetic, without any movement, resulted in the watch stopping within 48hrs. I therefore purchased this Watch Winder.The watch winder can be operated either by 2No x AA batteries or by mains via a on/off switch at the rear of the unit. Initially I tested the unit with batteries and found this worked perfectly, but since I wanted to operate the unit using mains in the long term, I removed the batteries.The instructions say it is best to place the watch in the unit when it is fully wound - I however placed the watch in the unit when it was fully unwound. This was so I could tell whether or not the device actually worked!!The watch strap fitted snuggly around the central part of the housing. When plugged-in, the central part of the unit initially rotated in a clockwise direction for a period of 2 minutes and then stopped (as it is meant to) for a period of 6 minutes after which, it started to rotate in an anticlockwise direction. This operation is continuously repeated. The motor is super silent and is very difficult to hear once the lid is closed.I checked the watch after a 24hr period and found that it was still ticking and maintained the time - result!!I had read reviews where some people had to place the unit on its' side for the watch to work - for my watch, the unit worked perfectly in its' intended upright position.This is a great product and excellent value for money!!

This Watch Winder works wonderfully. I don't use it all the time, but is useful for keeping the watch active when I am not wearing it. It looks good and is totally silent in operation. It is bigger than I expected, but is a nice item to look at. I recommend this item.

Great value and looks good.Got this for my husband as a gift and is great. He has a submariner watch and fits it perfectly.It is not noisy compared to other wonders although I can hear it but I put that down to us living in a very remote place with no ambient noise.

If you have a decent self winder ie Rolex Cartier etc this is good value works well and if you travel can use with batteries instead of mains. Looks good also in Black it replaced one that I had that was more costly and this one is much better would highly reccomend

Bought this to keep watch going while not wearing it. Looked at other watch winders and thought they were too expensive. Looked at the reviews on this one and thought i would buy it. Really good value for money. Nice box with window to see watch moving. Have now purchased another for my husbands watch.

This looked OK and worked well for a month or so and then stopped. I tried to repair it myself and discovered how cheaply it had been made.
