The media could not be loaded.  I did my research after buying my new (white) car after the dealership tried to sell me £300+ 'Supagard' paint protection offer. Doing it myself has been 6 hours of hard work from start to finish, but ultimately, very worth it! Here are the steps: Take your car to be washed, but not dried. Leave it wet so that that clay bar can glide, no need for fancy spray lubricants. I noticed a few spots in the paintwork after it was done, which was perfect to see if the bar would work. It is powdery when you take it out, so put some paper down first before you open it. It cut very easily with a kitchen knife (into 4 pieces), though I should have used half a bar for the first time as a quarter wasn't enough. Wet the car panel thoroughly with water, flatten the bar so it covers your palm, then wet the bar and work it left to right, then up and down (in a hashtag effect). See the video for help. I also found Youtube very helpful, there are plenty of videos on there too. Wipe the treated area with a dry cloth, your hand will glide smoothly over it! You can feel the bar picking up the microparticles and will know when it's done, it will glide smoothly. Wash the bar as you go along (dip it in water) so you're not moving the bits around. If you can, fold the bar over onto itself for a fresh surface. I found the clay didn't want to do this, it kept breaking, hence why half a bar would have been better for the first time doing it. Wet the next panel and continue, until it's all done. Take it back to the car wash for a full wash/wax, then go back home to apply your own wax or polish to protect the newly refreshed paintwork. The finished result is a dream and worth every minute of effort! The rain now beads on the car, it feels silky smooth and has staved off the dirt for a week so far. Absolutely fantastic stuff, I will most definitely buy another! Hope this helps you to decide.

Bought this product because I thought I would give this process a try. It gave me an absolutely fantastic finish on my paintwork. I used it with lots of water that had car shampoo mixed in and was amazed how it lifted the years of grime off the paint. It took a while, but did the whole car, panel by panel, and I am so pleased with the end result. You can instantly feel the difference of where you have done, and see for yourself the fine grit and grime in the clay. Should have bought this years ago. The car now looks so good and really stands out.
