Perfect book to teach your kids about Chicago
Perfect book to teach your kids about Chicago! My family is from Chicago and we visit often- I love that this not only hits on the city's icons, but also its history and spirit. Beautiful illustrations. Perfect for toddlers (like mine) on up through middle school. I learned things that I wasn't aware of. Recommended it to all of my friends/family with kids.

' and I just loved it! With our state bird as tour guide ...
All things Chicago get my attention! :-) This was one of those 'coffee break' books I picked up to 'test drive,' and I just loved it! With our state bird as tour guide (his cameos in the beautiful illustrations are adorable!) each page has nice reminders of home -- and some things I didn't know about. I've taken a few journeys around Chicago myself, as a kid and as an adult (I know what I like and remember), so it's always nice to see my hometown through different eyes. I smiled all the way through this cute book!

A Terrific Journey
Of all the Journey ABC books the one to Chicago has been the best. After reading the book one can make a list of where he or she would like to go and the sights to see in Chicago. The book is beautifully illustrated with a little WALDO theme inserted. Children and adults will enjoy finding a cardinal on every page.I recommend the book to 7 and older especially to those who like to travel.

I liked the hard bound book
This is a very engaging book which goes beyond entertaining just 5 and 6 year old children. She includes some very interesting facts. I liked the hard bound book. The illustrations a very good.

Fantastic book
We purchased this prior to moving to the Chicago area in order to prep our toddler for the move. It's a gorgeous book with excellent illustrations and lots of wonderful information about the city. Highly recommended for anyone with a connection to the city - particularly those with kids!

Beautiful illustrations of a lovely city
I first saw this book in the shop attached to Oak Park, the home built by Frank Lloyd Wright for his family and as a studio for his architects. Ordered it as a keepsake for myself: 3 year old grandson won't appreciate if it for a long time! Very busy pages of exquisite watercolour-style paintings which give a visual snapshot of things to do in Chicago. Will aim to build up a set around cities in US I've visited as a starting point to add our own family stories.
