Kinfolk Volume 8

when i saw this issue of Kinfolk was devoted to Japan - i knew i had to get it. the photos and articles are so gorgeous. i absolutely love how this magazine never skimps on quality but does it right by making it the best they can be by providing great paper, beautiful artwork and great writing. love it!

I have almost every volume of Kinfolk, and I have to say, Volume 8 may be my favorite thus far. This edition highlights the beautiful culture and tradition of Japan, and as I have come to expect with Kinfolk, the photos are stunning. The stories are quite interesting, and I have even been inspired to try Shibori. I hope Kinfolk decides to focus on other countries and cultures in the future.

Not only does this have incredible content, but it is beautiful to look at as well. The stories are well written, the photographs are pretty, the how tos and recipes could have a little more information.

This is an indie foodie/lifestyle magazine, only printed quarterly. I bought it for less than newsstand price. It arrived perfectly and looked untouched.

I've been getting this magazine for a while. Very simple designed magazine, but it has good things in it. I will keep getting these every time new ones come out. :)

I first saw this publication at an Anthropologie store and regretted not buying it. I love Japan and everything about it, the food, the order, the cleanliness the people , the gardens....this book brought all my wonderful memories of living there. I didn't know about this magazine which is as hefty as a book without the advertising. It was so beautiful and the selection of articles were so interesting I am going to look into getting a subscription.

This was a good volume - very beautiful. I really liked the portion about the wasabi farm.

I love this magazine. It's fresh, full of style and gives me loads of original ideas. It' not overly American too .

I you are interested in design this is an interesting and unusual magazine - this edition has a Japanese theme. It is well designed and produced.

Lovely pictures and most articles are quite interesting, but WHY IS THE TEXT PRINTED SO SMALL? I need to put the magazine inches from my nose in order to read it, and I'm in my early 40's! It looks cool but what's the point if you can't read it?
