Powertron 72300 3.5 VOLT BATTERY FOR WELCH ALLYN 1375 MAH

Well got 3 of these as it was a prime item and also because of the cost. All 3 batteries were doa. Tried in different units and no luck. Put in the old batteries to make sure it was not my Welch Allyn units and the old batteries worked. It's sad because it's a prime item and the cost is great. For those of you that had good luck with these I'm happy but for me I'll be getting orig Welch Allyn atteries or try another vendor

I use my opthalmascope rarely, but I ordered this battery 8 years ago, and it only stopped taking a charge this week. That's 2 years longer than the Welch Allyn battery that came with it. However, when I ordered a second one it was dead on arrival and would not accept a charge on two different devices. Quality control issues I guess.

It didn't take long for this battery to stop holding a charge. I rarely use my otoscope/ophthalmoscope over the last two years. Maybe 6-10 times total. It got fully recharge maybe twice. But now If I want to use it I have to charge it directly before every use. This battery was a waste of money.

Since I don't use my direct ophthalmoscope with high frequency, it will be years before I can attest to the durability of this battery. That said, it certainly seems to function just as well as the ones that are several fold more expensive!

Worked for me without any problem.
