This is my third endoscope. So far, this is the best, the range is good, and the price is great. It has the right stiffness for most jobs. My other units usually require me to wind hard wires along the cable to get the Stiffness.It easily connects the iPhone and shoots great images, and can be connected at the same time, my friend is capturing the endoscope, I am watching it move, when he focuses on the movement mechanism, I can find out what he is missing, focus Range It's incredible!I also used it to view the walls, I got a clear image, the video is more like a movie, not a skateboard-like time-lapse video. My wall is leaking. I don't know where it is, Buywell asked me To find it through the hole drilled in the wall. I was amazed when I found a water pipe with holes.If you want to monitor the situation, it will come in handy. I use it as a security camera at night, the signal goes through several walls, great!This is an excellent borescope for checking pipe work or just trying to find anything under the equipment or sofa. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a powerful borescope to use. Being able to record data directly on your phone is a great feature. Ideal for anyone who needs to do any type of inspection because you can record it and display your customer directly there and store it in a file for any future purpose.These ranges are convenient in many situations and I would recommend it to all families.

OK, let me state up front that I loved this thing after I got it all setup but getting there was a bit of a pain:Instructions are woefully lacking (most of the 4 Star instead of 5 is due to this)detail on the above would be:1. Unclear what network you should connect to2. on most android phones you have to tell the phone to stay connected to the YPC_xxxx network or it will just revert to the last signal with internet3. There is no password4. This lack of clarity affects the hardware and software until you have successfully set it up one timeUnlike some other reviewers I found the rigidity of the wire to the camera just fine for 90+% of the things I could find to do in any enclosed space like a pipe, if you need a more rigid mount the manufacturer has enclosed a telescoping rod (see picture) that expands to a bit over 4 feet long with several tips that allow several other options (like seeing down at 90 degrees at the back of a high closet shelf).The best thing i used it for was to verify connections at the back of my computer which was always a pain to pull out due to where it is at, this allows me to verify which wire went to where without having to disconnect stuff and pull it all out.I did use it in a pipe inspection of my garbage disposal and the sink drain and while it did an adequate job it will not replace a actual bore camera like Roto-Rooter uses that cost several hundreds of dollars. I should also mention that in a white PVC pipe you really need to turn down the lighting (it is adjustable) since the reflection washes out the picture.Best of all is that it all fits into a 5 x 7 inch semi-hard body pouch so it can be kept in your tool box if desired.For my uses now it is a 5 Star item for the price and home use but trying to set it up was frustrating since you could not be sure if you were not doing it right or if you had a bad unit, hence the 4 Star rating. Once you have the proper sequence and set it up once it should not be a problem in the future.

I bought this so that I could check on a water leak I am having in my garage and since my house is 2 stories I have no addict so it's easy to cut a hole in places inside to find out where the leak is I had no problems with the camera getting wet in the picture quality seemed to be quite well I was able to adjust the lighting so that I could see I think this is a great value for the money I spent . I personally won't use this everyday but it is great to have for that just in case scenario when you haven't place that you can't get too easily.

There are several different APPs with the same name.So I recommend that you scan the QR code on the manual so that you can find the application very quickly.HERE IS HOW TO CONNECT1. Download/install HD WiFi by "Y-CAM"2. Start the camera and give it a minute or two to fully boot up. Once completed booted up it acts like your modem, transmitting an SSID that you can connect to with WIFI on your phone.3. Go to your wifi settings and search. The camera default SSID is some crazy long thing with some words and numbers. I changed my SSID, so I don't have the actual name. To make sure you find it, you could do a search with the camera on, and then turn it off and search again. The network that disappears is the camera SSID. You can rename this once you connect. Best I can remember it is something YPC-88DF.4. Press the YPC-88DF network and I think it will ask you for the default password,There is no initial password, you can set it yourself after connecting5. Start the HD WiFi APP6. You should see the camera image on the APP window, which is similar to the standard camera app on your phone7. To change the SSID to something simpler (like "Endoscope"), press the gear icon in the bottom middle of the APP8.Type the new SSID in the top field and press the "Modify WiFi name" button to the right of that field.9. The app should say the name change was successful10. Disconnect from YPC-88DF, restart camera, and reconnect using the new camera network SSIDThe screen is rotatable and easy to useYou can also change the camera resolution and camera password in the same window that appears when you press the gear icon.Then you can repair your things.
