Conflict Desert Storm 2: Back To Baghdad - PC

Most old games are kinda shit by todays standards, the controls feel weird and graphics look blocky. This game manages to transcend that aged feeling by having solid gameplay and the perfect amount of micro for your squad. The gunplay is fast and hectic, there are plenty of ways to flank and have take down the enemies without taking any damage and that feeling is what makes the game great. Bad parts/ annoyances: Some keys need to be rebound, and mouse acceleration needs to be turned off, but as a pc game you can do that. Some gameplay issues like no autosave, no quciksave, large invisible model edges making corner sniping hard, you really need to pay attention to the range finder in the scope or you will hit an invisible part of a model. Right click goes into first person, which is what I play in, and they dont draw any gun/item models.

CDS2: Back to Baghdad is a fun game, but it lacks multiplayer, any type of customization, and next gen graphics. There are 10 levels that range from cities to oil storage/pumping facilities. The level design and enemy AI are fair and the weapons have good sounds to them. The player(s) control four soldiers that each has a weapon and ability specialty. The game controls ok for pc, but I believe it is better on a console. Overall I give this pc game a 5, because it can be fun at times.

This is much harder to play that the 1st Desert Storm game. The enemy move more while shooting at you making it hard to hit them. They also throw granades a lot. Most of the missions take place at night so get used to night vision. Over all it was worth playing and the graphics are better.

Its old def not as fun on PC though ..you cant use a controller (i cant figure it out anyways)I played the whole series growing up

I had this game years back for the PS2 and I decided to buy it for PC. Let's just say.. oh how things have changed. This game is nice and sets a nice tone for war-games but other than... it's just another mass-product of war. The novelty wears off because all there to do is shoot and hide.

I was very disappointed with the sequel to the first Desert Storm which I love. The graphics are not nearly as clean as thefirst one. I realy have enjoyed playing the original Desert Storm. I had hoped it would just be more scenerios. Maybe if I hadnot played the original I would have liked this one more.

I love this game, but it is harder to play on a PC using the keyboard and mouse than on my old departed Xbox
