3rd item from Knipex I've had and so far without fail I've been very impressed, decent teeth and comfy grip/size, no light through closed jaws either so well machined

I have several sets of Knipex pliers and couldnt resist these 10 inch monsters for working on the car. The tips have good grippy surfaces, the mid section will grab onto a bolt while the large cutting section at the rear will easily cut through stainless steel strapping. The overall finish is very rough compared to other knipex products, there were grinding marks and small pits here and there on the steels surface but these pliers are made to take some serious work, they are also heavy enough to use them as an improvised hammer for knocking bolts through or nails. Phenomenally strong tool, if you need it you need it.

Great little pair of pliers we'll made quality tool

Decent little pair of pliers. Well made, like all other knipex tools and For the price (£13) you can't complain.

I ordered these because I didn't have a good quality set of pliers that would be suitable for some 50-55 HRC music/piano wire I needed to trim down to size. With this being a trustworthy brand, I took the claim of them being suitable for 'soft and hard wire' at face value and assumed the advertised 60ish HRC 'hardened jaws' would work fine for my application. I was wrong, on arrival I immediately tried to trim a few pieces of wire down to my desired size, the pliers did indeed cut the wire but after doing a couple of cuts and inspecting the jaws there was significant damage, far more than I expected from two thin pieces of piano wire, even if it is a fairly hard wire. I can literally see light coming through the damaged sections of the jaws and these are evidently not as hard as claimed, though there is always a chance I just got a bad pair, but either way they're not suitable for my intended task. For cutting and gripping of materials softer than 55 HRC these genuinely are a nice set of pliers, but the pair I received isn't living up to my expectations for Knipex and realistically with the lower than expected hardness they’re not much better than my cheaper sets of combination pliers.
