Works great
Used it for a month or 2 now switched from brs seems to keep my magnesium from dropping over the weeks before I would have to dose it separately

Good stuff!
I swear by this stuff. You could probably just use regular Kalk, but I like the fact that other elements are contained in this powder. I have never used anything else though, so I have nothing to compare it to. I just know that there is plenty of calcium and iodine in my water. Calcium because all of my hard corals are growing skeletal mass, iodine because my sally light foot crab keeps molting, and molting, and molting. My wife says he's going to grow big enough to eat our kids!

Best Kalk i have found.
This is the best Kalk i have found. I have been adding Kalk for years. This one helps keep up Strontium levels and Magnesium as well.It costs a bit more, but it is worth it. I use it on my 180 gallon reef tank.I admit, sometimes, I mix it with some less expensive but very pure Kalk. This way I get some of the benefits of the add minerals, at a slightly better value.

It works but there are better options
I have this in a kalk stirrer set on a dosing pump to get consistent dosing for stable parameters. It works to a point and magnesium seemed to be dosed but still needed supplementation. As consumption grew in my tank I had to supplement with 2 part dosing. A friend recommended I try BRS pharma kalk and sure enough the potency was much higher with BRS kalk to where I am now dialing down my 2 part and may be not needing 2 part dosing at all. Sorry brightwell but there are better options and from icp testing at BRS there are cleaner options too.

Miracle Powder!
This product is amazing. I had so many problems with my tank and between dosing x y and z, water changes, everything just looked horrible. I use this product just strictly in my RODI ATO reservoir tank which puts perfect amount into system. My system is beautiful now!!

false advertising for magnesium
I have a problem with the Kalk+2 product. I had doubts that this product could work as advertised because magnesium precipitates in high PH, and since a saturated kalk solution is a very high PH environment, logic dictates that the magnesium would just fall out of solution and rest on the bottom of the container... well, most kalk solutions have some sediment after it becomes fully saturated, so i originally thought that's what it was. However at such a high cost, i did further testing, and even at a 50% saturation there is quite a bit of precipitant on the bottom, which leads me to believe it is the magnesium. Which also tells me that when i dump out the slurry at the bottom its all magnesium, and my drip is only providing pure lime water, which i can buy at a fraction of the cost. Further evidence indicates that there is no significant increase in magnesium in my tank, in fact, i still see the typical consumption rate. Perhaps this product is more useful in a kalk stirrer which will release the slurry into the water column where the crystallized magnesium would dissolve into solution once in a more sea-like PH environment.I suggest a recommended use within a kalk stirrer be advertised and a notice that magnesium will fall to the bottom unless kept in suspension in a stirrer.Calcium and Alkalinity is increased as advertised, but no better than a product at half the cost.
