Pleasantly surprised
Ordered once and returned after opening because I ordered the "right hand" reel thinking everybody that was right handed reeled with the left so that's on me but reordered and it's a really nice rod and baitcaster, especially for the price. I got this to learn how to baitcast and had pretty low expectations after using another brand that a friend and i couldnt get right. He tossed it shortly after. This one was pretty straightforward and got it dialed in quickly. Can't catch a damn thing with it but it's nice haha

you’re getting a high-quality rod and reel combo that performs well across various scenarios.
KastKing Royale Legend II Twin Tip Fishing Rod and Reel ComboRating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5)I’ve used the KastKing Royale Legend II Twin Tip Fishing Combo on multiple trips now, and it’s a versatile, well-designed setup. Here's my experience with it:Rod Performance (5/5):The IM6 graphite blank is lightweight but strong, offering excellent sensitivity for detecting subtle bites. The inclusion of a backup tip is a fantastic feature—it’s like having two rods in one. Switching between tips lets me adapt to different fishing styles, from finesse presentations to casting heavier lures. KastFlex technology truly shines in providing a solid backbone for handling larger fish.Reel Performance (4.5/5):The reel operates smoothly, with a consistent drag system that’s more than capable of handling both freshwater and light saltwater species. The casting distance is impressive, and it retrieves smoothly even under pressure. However, the reel's handle could feel slightly more robust for larger hands.Durability and Build Quality (5/5):The stainless-steel guides with ceramic inserts allow for smooth line flow and reduce friction, which is great for braided and monofilament lines. The EVA handles are ergonomic, offering a firm and comfortable grip even after hours of fishing. The overall build quality feels premium and durable, even when used in challenging conditions.Versatility (5/5):This combo excels in its adaptability. I’ve used it for bass fishing in freshwater and light inshore fishing for redfish and trout. The twin-tip design allows me to adjust to different setups without carrying multiple rods, making it perfect for anglers who value portability and convenience.Value for Money (4/5):For the price, you’re getting a high-quality rod and reel combo that performs well across various scenarios. The twin-tip feature adds value, but a slightly sturdier reel handle and more drag adjustment options could elevate it further. Conclusion:The KastKing Royale Legend II Twin Tip Combo is a versatile and reliable choice for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you're chasing bass in freshwater or trying your hand at light saltwater fishing, this combo offers the performance and adaptability you need. Highly recommended for those seeking a lightweight, travel-friendly option with excellent sensitivity and power.---This review provides:

Great rod and reel combo
I've used this for a couple of seasons now and it still works great... its really sensitive even with slack in the line. I haven't had any issues with the rod or tip breaking and it stays in the back of my truck.

Shockingly Good
I was a bit skeptical due to the low price (compared to similar products from other big names), and I had never used or purchased KastKing before. I've been an active angler for more than 40 years, but have always defaulted to the two "SH" brands. I was going on a trip to the Sierra lakes and needed a ML 3000 freshwater combo last minute and this fit the bill. I was MORE than pleasantly surprised. Although I didn't land anything bigger than about 1lb, the rod is an excellent balance of power and finesse. The reel is like silk and cast distance is amazing. I am thinking about getting the M-weight / 3000 version just to have on hand, even though I already have a PENN 3500. For the price, I just don't see how you can beat the performance/value. The shipping packaging is basically indestructible, and the spare rod tip just seals the deal. BTW - I put about 300Y of 12wt braid and a 10' (10#) FC leader on it, which seems to work great. The only minor complaint I have is that none of the sizing seems consistent. The table on Amazon site says one thing (8-17lb), the literature that comes with the rod (tag, etc) says something else, and the labeling printed on the rod itself says a third thing. Doesn't impact me, because 10-12# works regardless, but it may make it difficult for some folks to differentiate or choose between ML or M.
