I think it's a great idea, but my kitten don't really mess with it. It's very small as well. If they make a larger one I'd go with that

Our new kitten loves this. She started off only playing with the swinging tail but has recently figured out the ball. She can play for quite a while without getting bored.

It worked like 5 times and when I turn it on it spins twice then stops (not the batteries). Wish I could send it back but past 30 days.
