It’s a great alternative
My home doorbell wiring is damaged so I decided to purchase one from Amazon and I’m glad I did it’s great. It’s very loud I only installed one. which was very simple to do. All you need is a Phillip screwdriver. I have it in my kitchen and if I’m in the basement washing I can still hear it ringing. The only downside is that it has so many other ring tones and I have not a clue on how to set them. The instructions are useless. I don’t understand pictures and symbols without words. Very disappointed on that because my favorite time of year is December and the bell has so many Christmas carols I would love to hear around that time. That’s why I have this 4 stars

Great for when you're in the yard
Very simple to install and works great. We could not hear the doorbell when we were sitting in the back yard. Now we plug one of these in on the patio and don't miss a thing. Added bonus, there are dozens of alerts to choose from. If your wife is OCD like mine, you can switch it around without telling her and watch the reaction with a cold beer.

Was looking for a doorbell to add to different rooms in my home so I could hear it ring, since my Alexa and Google always seems to act up when needed when working with my doorbell. These are great. Plenty of chimes to choose from, easy to install and easy to pair. Great price for 4 doorbells too! Love them !
