Fun and imaginative play set.
Most of the pieces came loose in box, some where still on sprues. Pieces were easy to remove from the sprues but small children may need adult assistance. Decent detail of the figures and pieces for a play set. All pieces feel durable. This play set would even make a nice set for beginner miniature painting. There was only 1 issue i had with the set and that was the cannons, it was shown to have 4 but we received 1 complete one and 2 left halves of others. So missing 3 complete cannons. Overall a nice set that is fun for the kids.

Detailed to assemble
The great figures and plastic scenery are worth the price. The ship, however, is quite fragile and complex to assemble. I'm an experienced model builder, and I am on my THIRD day of assembling this basswood jigsaw puzzle. If this set is intended for a child, they might get frustrated unless they have some adult assistance. It's a really fun set, though.
