I've had an iGeek DVD player since Covid first hit, and while it did the job it annoyed me from the get-go. The picture was yellow-ish on about half of the DVDs I watched, no matter how I adjusted the settings, and it was generally a noisy little machine. Lately, it has been really struggling to play DVDs - it will still play them, but you have to take the CD out, keep cleaning it, then keep cleaning the lens, etc., and after like, 10 minutes, you *might* be able to trick it to play. It felt like when the time is up on a car - you know it's time to move on to greener pastures. (This was after 4 years of fairly regular use because I borrow a lot of DVDs from the library to watch while I work.)I came back to Amazon to see what was out there and settled on the $108 DVD player that everyone was rating highly. It was pricey, sure, but if it gives me less hassle than my current one, it's worth the price. Well, nope - when that thing came, it was the size of a laptop because I did what I always do and missed reading the specs before I purchased it.So I happened upon this one - right price point, *seemingly* right size based on customer pictures, and when it came, I was so impressed! It feels like watching movies on my big-screen TV but at like, a 16th of the screen size, which is perfect for squeezing it onto my desk while I work. The sound quality blew me out of my chair - in fact, my son came out from his room to see if something was wrong it was so loud. I dropped it down to just one bar, and it was still at the perfect sound. I haven't watched a full movie on it yet, but I was impressed that it doesn't sound like a jackhammer when you're skipping around to different menus. Impressive picture, sound, and less noisy, plus it's even *smaller* than my iGeek (which I see as a plus). Most definitely the better purchase between this and the laptop-sized one. Highly recommend if you need a small-screened DVD player that does the job. And, not like I will need it for this, but it also works with your TV, which is pretty great if you need a DVD player and don't already use your gaming consoles like we do. And, of course, it comes with a car adapter for if you have kids in the car. At this price point, you honestly can't do better if you're looking for great quality in a smaller package.

This a fine little product, and I’m glad I bought it. The packaging is truly awesome, down to the handle on the box. You’ll want to keep that if you’re going to use it for travel. That said, be aware that because this player is inexpensive, it does lack some features that may surprise you. No Bluetooth, no pause button, and it doesn’t provide any digital stats like playing time, where you are in your DVD, or how far you have left to go. I can live without all that, I guess, at this level of quality for the price. UPDATE: My bad, I stand corrected! Because I use my new player on my Nordic Track, I did not look closely at the remote control unit, because the player is only inches away from my face as I exercise. All the features I thought were missing are there, EXCEPT for Bluetooth capability. And by the way, the player doesn’t miss a beat, even with the shake, rattle and roll of my exercise machine! Highly recommend this player! Love it, great value!

Unfortunately, my experience with this portable DVD player has been far from satisfactory. I didn’t have the chance to use it until after the return period had passed, only to discover major issues. Discs consistently get stuck, even after trying multiple different DVDs to rule out any faulty discs. Additionally, the device is excessively loud, with a persistent humming noise and the distracting sound of spinning discs.Given these performance and noise issues, I wouldn’t recommend this portable DVD player. It has been more trouble than it’s worth.---------------------------------------------------------------Update: After leaving this negative review the seller reached out and offered me either a refund or a replacement. And within a few hours of the request for a refund due to already replacing this with a different DVD player they processed the refund. This for sure has increased my view on this product. If they are willing to do this, I'd say they stand by their product.

This is a great little item. I bought it specifically for plane trips. Fits perfectly into my bag. It's old school but it works great for my needs. So easy to use. I just pop in a DVD and watch a 2 hour movie. The only problem is the newer DVD's don't fill the screen up like the older ones do. But no big deal.

I can’t recall receiving any electronic inside packaging that was practically bulletproof!If the company puts so much care into the quality of the box, the bubble wrap (it’s not your ordinary wrap) even the higher quality paper used in the instruction manual, you can be sure the DVD player is going to be awesome. I’m happy I chose this one for many reasons . The versatility of the type of discs and the multiple option for electrical supply are right up there with the screen that flips all the way around. All the necessary cords are included and it’s all so EASY. My son is developmentally disabled and the IPad is in constant use, too much use! Sometimes he needs a break from the fast paced tablet . Watching a movie straight through does the trick! Happy momma!

Charged it when it first arrived. Takes about 4 hours when received. Great picture and sound.Fast shipping. Everything described came as expected. Has remote control and brightness was as expected. Just a right size I needed for my exercise video. Fits in small spaces also. Packed very well.

I should have read the 4 star reviews before I bought this! If you have older DVDs that are formatted for analog television, you have no choice but to watch them stretched out across the screen of this portable DVD player. THERE IS NO WAY TO PROPERLY DISPLAY 4:3 FORMAT VIDEOS ON THIS PLAYER! The unit does have the ability to send the 4:3 formatted video to an attached television, however, that is not practical for use in the back seat of a car.
