This is a direct replacement for the Brigs & Stratton carburetor and works just fine. Two minor hiccups during installation on my Toros snowblower.1. The black plastic part connecting the choke valve plate to the choke control knob on my machine was slightly too long - solved by replacing it with the part from the part from the old carburetor, which fitted fine. Two alternative plastic choke connecting parts were provided in the kit, but they did not fit my machine at all.2. The hole in the plastic bushing of the throttle lever was too small for the existing rod from the snowblower throttle control. A new smaller diameter rod was provided in the kit, but to use that needed more dismantling of the snowblower, so I was able to drill out the plastic bushing to give a slightly bigger hole (without destroying the bushing) so the existing rod went in the hole, and it works fine.

I was excited to get a new carburetor for my snowblower for a good price but the excitement ended after I tried to use it. The carburetor was an exact fit and it started right up so I thought I was good to go. However once I used it I quickly found out that new carburetor doesn’t run the motor at high enough rpm’s to throw the snow more than a few feet. Before my old carburetor started acting up it would throw the same snow close to 30 feet. This carburetor might work fine for other applications but on my 30 inch snowblower it’s inadequate at best.
