Pulled both ways by this one.
I'm kind of in two minds about this item.On one hand, it gives you handles that make it easier to keep the iPad level while shooting, and the tripod mount is very handy.However, once you buy it, you're forcing yourself into additional purchases. The plastic case generates a lot of handling noise, so your internal microphone is going to be completely useless and you need an external mic. Sadly, if you're already using a VideoMic Me, that's not going to be any use, as the case doesn't leave quite enough space for it. Whatever mic you get, you will need to make sure it has a reliable shockmount, as the issue of handling noise will arise with any device you connect that doesn't have some kind of suspension or isolation.Finally, as to the bundled lenses... well, I wouldn't bother. There's a heck of a lot of spherical aberration with both the wide angle and telephoto, so you're never going to use them for any serious work.
