great stretchability, easy to use, thick

I used this canvas to cover a large shield I made. It works well and creates a durable face for the shield. It looks nice too. This is probably not the highest quality canvas I have ever encountered, but it is a good value and works great for crafts and larger projects.

I bought this needing it by a certain date. Got delayed twice and arrived too late.

Works great for stretching my own canvas without needing to add gesso

For context, I don’t know much about canvases and didn’t when I made this purchase. Based on other reviews I thought I’d take a shot on this and I liked how much canvas I got for the price. The goal was to make a pendulum painting on a 95 inch long by 46 inch wide canvas. I didn’t handle the canvas very “aggressively” when I was stretching it, and as a result, I had no rips or anything like that. The staples in the back held up well and the actual canvas itself seems very good quality. Painting came out well. I have tons of canvas left and I’m going to be doing a few more of these for people I know.

I had a number of canvases that were damaged while in storage that couldn't be repaired, and was attempting to reuse their frames. This worked marvelously! I will continue to do this in the future. Also the canvas is great for my home made frames (my 3d approach of building up many layers of paint on the canvas makes damage very likely on larger pieces). Since I live an hour's drive from any art supply store, it was wonderful that I could have this delivered to my home. I was able to be ready for my show in record time. Thank you.

I am not returning the product, but I was expecting to receive a 12 oz. canvas before it was triple-primed with Gesso. I believe it will be okay, but I was really expecting it to be more sturdy than it is.
