If you're on the fence, don't be, these are HIGH QUALITY pads.
I was on the fence about these pads because they are not name brand and I didn't know how they would hold up or perform. I've since run them through their paces on 2 cars and really can give a BIG thumbs up to the quality. The black part is a hard rubber that really holds well to the pad... The blue pad is your stiffest pad, made for correction of scrathes, swirls, spider webbing, and holograms on vehicle surfaces. The orange pad is your medium cut pad, it is a little less stiff than the standard Lake Country, or Buff and Shine pads BUT, it still does a good job on light swirling. The red pad will be your softest pad of the three and it's made for finishing, buffing/jeweling a car to a high shine or applying waxes and sealants. I haven't used the red pad yet as I've only compounded with the blue pad, polished and done a one step with the orange pad. I've run the pads on my variable speed rotary polisher and my 8mm Harbor Freight Chicago Electric dual action polisher and again the pads did a good job. They stayed cool throughout my polishing session and kept their shape. I figured for the price I would beat them up to see what kind of use I could expect from them going forward as I bought 2 sets out of the gate and I more than pleased. So pleased that I'm ordering a dozen for my detailing arsenal. They come individually wrapped in clear sealed bags. Put it like this... If you are a pro detailer and I gave you these to test/use without telling you the brand name, you'd enjoy these pads and not really experience a drastic difference from the name brand. SHINE ON!
