This remote control arrived unserviceable. Opening the battery compartment revealed the battery retainer disconnected from it’s two soldered lugs on the PCB and several scratches on the CR2032 cell - these suggest it may have been forced into place during assembly thus severing the soldered tabs.OK - I have been refunded for the first order and have purchased a replacement. This one works just fine and I can recommend it for it’s ease of siting and operation

This device connected to my Huawei P20 Pro without any problems. It is easy to attach to standard size selfy sticks and mini tripod stands. I can confirm the 30 feet range of operation. However, the range is significantly reduced in crowded places with lots of electromagnetic interference. Also, keep in mind that this remote control only works with camera apps which support hardware button shutter control (by emulating the Volume Up button press on the device).For Huawei stock sofware camera users: this device randomly sends dual shutter release signal to the camera, resulting in two snaps being taken with each press of the button.

I wanted a remote to mount on my glif mount. The remote clips on the holder to give a remote button on the front side. Would have been even better to have on the back but glif mount prevents that. Pleased with result.
