Both a unique inspiration and an accessible reference
This is both a unique inspiration and a readily accessible reference. On the face of it a lighthearted and entertaining read, with candid and often humorous insights into the practice of meditation, it is nonetheless built on a solid foundation of authenticity. Pradhan Balter has practised meditation for over 45 years, following the teachings of contemporary spiritual Master, Sri Chinmoy. Timeless teachings are framed in the context of modern challenges. Anyone looking to dispel excuses and stick to meditation practice will find here at once reliable encouragement, practical advice and a breath of fresh air.

A wise and useful book
This guide to learn meditation and incorporate spiritual principles to one's life is full of practical advise, easy-to-follow exercises and inspiring examples and stories. It is clear that Pradhan Balter speaks from his own experience.I liked his easily understandable, down-to-earth style. He can not only make deeper spiritual truths and, for a beginner, seemingly high goals look simple and reachable, but also offers a method that is easy to follow.A wise and useful book for anyone who practise meditation.

accessible spirituality, nice!
This is a great introduction to developing a personal spiritual practice away from the minefields of organized religion, or moralistic politics. The author's own experiences with his Guru, world-renowned spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy, inform this collection of meditation exercises and principles of personal development, in a way that is accessible to people of any background or religion. I found this book entertaining and profound at the same time, a mixture that helped me learn from the author's experiences without feeling lectured.
