Heats quick, long cord, easy to use. Works way better than others I have tried. highly recommend. I dont write reviews often... this is worth while.

Really nice to be able to take it anywhere with a battery, Nice kit. Work really well, the switch has 3 positions : off, battery powered and plug in an outlet(another review complained about the switch so i wanted to make it clear)

I bought this to use when working on cars and aircraft. I have the Dewalt heat gun, and having a soldering iron too frees me from the power cord. I didn't expect much other than a basic soldering iron, but I've been using this on the bench a lot because it's so easy to use. The temperature control works great and it comes to temperature fast. It's super handy to be able to use the Dewalt batteries, and the weight of the battery makes this very stable on the bench.

It heats up super fast ! Like in 20 seconds. It shuts out automatically if you forget it so great feature. It melts solder very easily. It doesn't use a lot of battery so you can use a small 2.0 amp. But the construction seems flimsy and the plastic cheap. So time will tell if it holds up...
