Spoon: 1

I chose this book to use at school where I help run a nurture group. We are building self esteem and discussing being unique and special. This is a lovely story about Spoon who thinks everyone else is better off than he is but finds out that he is just as special although different from his friends. The children have all loved this story. It teaches them to celebrate their differences in an easy to understand setting that they can relate to. It is probably aimed at children 7 years and under but we have read it to children up to age 9 and all have enjoyed and understood the moral of it.

One of our all time favourite books. Will hold dear memories for ever
