MaresPuck Service Parts and Accessories

There's not much to say about this as a product. It clips onto the dive computer and allows downloading of logs to pc or smartphone, firmware updates, etc. So far I've used it with Mares Dive Organiser (PC) and DiveMate (Android).The cost for these is simply crazy and this seller had the best price I could find.Now for the interesting bit. I have the Mares Smart dive computer and the interface for that model is consistently £10 more than the Puck Pro interface despite looking identical. A quick inquiry at mares confirmed my suspicions that the interfaces are interchangeable so ordered the Puck Pro version for my Mares Smart and it works perfectly.Don't get sucked into paying more for the Smart version. It is identical and is simply priced higher to reflect the higher cost of the dive computer. Shame on Mares for charging so much for this. And shame on whoever is gouging Smart owners an extra £10 for the identical interface being sold to Puck Pro owners.

Easy to set up, as long as you remember to set your dive computer to pc mode to connect.

Bought this as part of a birthday present for the missus (I also got her a Mares Puck Pro dive computer). This is essential if you want to record your dives and other relevant details using the "Dive Organiser" software. It gets four stars for build quality, delivery and packaging although (to me) the price feels a bit steep for a "cable"One word of warning, for Windows 7 and 8 users, you *may* need to get the proper Silicon Labs drivers rather than the ones that get bundled in the Dive Organiser software suite (I've already sent the same info to them in the hope they'll do the updating themselves - for any future releases)"USB to UART Bridge VCP drivers" - which can be found at the following URL[...]
