When Leah’s husband Trevor comes back from the army after a dishonourable discharge, he starts being abusive towards her. She’d enough, at night she leaves with her 3 yr old daughter Emma to go to Boston. After arriving she’s able to get a place to stay in a women’s shelter after explaining her situation. Knowing she can’t stay there forever and be able to provide for her daughter. She applies to a few jobs and she’s able to get a job at as a cleaner, after telling them about her daughter, they allow her to take her with her if need be. With it not being enough money she gets a job to work as a bartender at night. After a few weeks working at the bar she talks to her manager about her living situation and he connects her with a friend where she’s able to get a place to stay. The place was fully furnished and the landlady Irma was happy to take cash payments for rent. She also offered daily coffee as part of the rent package, since she run and owned the coffee shop underneath. After getting settled into the apartment she sets up baby cameras to keep an eye on her daughter when’s she’s at work. After a few weeks after she moved in, her daughter gets a fever while working at the bar she’s checking her phone more than normal to check on her daughter. Her manager Sean seems to be on edge that day and gets annoyed. After explaining to him that her daughter is unwell and asks if she can check on her and come back, he says no as it’s busy. Kieran Murphy Kingpin of the Irish Mafia well known to everyone, is in the club that day with his brothers and friends, over hears the conversation and goes over tells Sean to let her go that he’s got it, him and his brothers owned a bar back in Ireland. He walks her home and waits until see gets in.There was something about her that was calling to him. He wanted to know about her. When he gets back he goes behind the bar and starts serving drinks. Leah wakes up to see her daughters fever has broken as she goes to get ready, she finds a note that’s been stuck underneath her door saying there’s groceries outside her and she’s got the week off. With no name on the note she rings Sean to check. He confirms it, and says when Kieran came back he collected enough tips to get her the week off. Checking the time she gets ready for cleaning job. Grabbing Emma’s hand she went downstairs, finding Irma with a smile on her face saying I saw one of the Murphys dropping the groceries this morning, she says she met him last night & that he walked her home as Emma was sick. She asks her a few more questions, and asks Irma it seems that everyone knows him, she tells he’s made a name of himself since he left Dublin. She wants to ask more questions but she’s running late she grabs Emma and goes to her first cleaning job. She reached just in time, glancing at the building she notices it fairly similar to hers but instead of a coffee shop at the bottom it’s a pub, taking note of name ‘Murphys Grill & Pub’ wonders if it connected to Kieran. She goes round the corner to open the door, grabbing Emma and her cleaning supplies she goes into the apartment. After settling Emma, she starts picking up the trash, & the dirty glasses as she’s about to turn the water she hears a voice. Checking on Emma she follows the voice down the hall & realises it singing listening she opens the door slightly and recognises that it’s Kieran’s voice. Hearing the water turn off, unable to stop herself she opens the door and barges in to find Kieran naked. She stares at him, after he clears his throat, she come back to her senses, embarrassed she apologises and lies saying that she didn’t know he was here & turns around to go back to the kitchen. Hearing foots steps heading her way she continues work, approaching the kitchen he makes a joke not sure what to make of it she looks up to find his expression soft.Hearing the laughter of her daughter he asks if can meet her, listening to the conversation she continues working. Finished cleaning she does a last check & goes to the living finding the two watching singing let it go from Frozen, she tells her daughter that it’s time to go, after saying goodbye the leave. Sitting on the couch Kieran had no doubt that she walked straight into his bedroom full well knowing that he would be naked. Pulling out his phone he sends a text to friend his Liam asking to get a pizza sent to their apartment. She pushed up against Irma’s and opens the door, she smiles warmly when her eyes land on Leah. Raising her right eyebrow she tells Leah she’s glowing. She tells Irma about her day & the bedroom incident, she asks if she liked what she saw & if she’s interested. She says she might be but doesn’t know if he is. While talking to Irma the pizza gets delivered, she says she didn’t order anything & asks did the person who ordered the food leave a name, he says he doesn’t, but the girl who took the call sounded Irish. Irma says not interested my butt. They guy helps her bring the food to her apartment. After eating & setting Emma in the bath she fills tops up her wine glass and sits down watching TV. Checking on Emma, she gets her out of the bath and into bed. Grabbing he glass she takes it into her room & thinks about Kieran. A week later she’s assigned to Kieran’s apartment again, as she’s going out the coffee shop, Irma calls out asking if she’s got the night off tomorrow at the pub? She says yes. She tells Leah why don’t you do something fun and tells her to drop Emma at hers once she’s finished work & they can have a sleepover, & promise that she won’t stay in. After promising she heads to work, she finds a note written by Kieran apologising that he’s not there & has left some gifts for her and Emma.Going home they pass by Irma’s she says it’s seems you’ve had a good day, Leah tells her about the presents. She asks Emma what type of cookies she wants to make and asks Leah if she’s got any ideas for tomorrow and might it be Murphys Grill & Bar, she says maybe & bye as a customer comes in. She heats up dinner & sets up the camera & heads to the bar. The next day passes slowly, as she only had one cleaning job, she spent the rest of time with Emma. After dropping off Emma she walks into the pub and finds Kieran behind the bar, whispering something into a persons ear he comes to meet her. He gets her a glass of wine and menu and tells her to have a look he’ll be back. Watching him walk away, serve drinks and singing she forgets to look at the menu when he gets back she says she doesn’t know. She lets him choose the food for her, as she eats she watches him. After eating she goes over to the bar and is handing a glass of cider. Watching everyone dance she joins in after a while sits back down and finishes her cider she’s handed another one, while talking to Liam she catches Kieran’s eye causing her to blush.The pub starts to clear when Kieran comes over, she tells him she’s going home,he insists he’ll take but she declines as she leaves her heel gets stuck, as she’s about to fall Kieran catches her. He tells her he’s going to ask two questions and two options for each, the first he’s going to walk her home and it’ll depend how I’ll take you home and gives her the options & the second saying she was sassy towards him inside his pub & should be punished & gives her two options where she chooses both. After bringing her back into the pub he punishes her with a spanking and are intimate. He tells her to come to him and sit in his lap. When she wakes up she’s naked in bed other than his jacket. Wondering if he’s left she smells food and wonders over to the kitchen where he’s making breakfast. After giving her a kiss he tells her, he has to go as he has a meeting and tells her to behave. Going out of her apartment with a smile on his he heads down to the car wondering how he’s going to get her out of his head, getting into the car he heads to his meeting. Going downstairs to pick up Emma, Irma stands behind the counter with a smile on her face telling her you got in late. She tells her that she met Kieran at the pub & few more details but is saved by Emma before she can ask more. She spends the day with Emma & sets up the cameras before she heads to the bar. The night wasn’t particularly busy. She helped Sean clean up once the bar closed. She took the trash bags using the back entrance to load it into the dumpster. Just turned her back to the building & thrown the bags away when brute force knocked her against the brick wall, just as she was about to scream she was turned around & a hand against her mouth. It was Trevor. He tells her not to scream & that he’s changed, he’s not picked up a drink since she’s left & going to AA meetings. He tells her to come home she says no, he says he’ll move here she’s says to him that they’re better off. Just about he’s going to hit her, Sean comes out & stops him and tells him she said no. He tells Sean the she’s his wife, she’s says ex wife. Before he can say anything Sean continues by saying it’s his pub & it’s under the protection of the Irish mafia, which means Leah is too & if you lay a hand on her then it will your head on a platter. Her eyes opened wide at the insinuation, thinking he couldn’t mean Kieran and his family. Sean tells him he’ll make him a deal he’ll give him a thousand bucks to go & not come back & to leave Leah alone he says two and leaves. After he’s left, she asks Sean about the protection of the pub, does that mean Kieran, he says yes, & tells her she needs to tell Kieran for protection as he won’t always be around, but Kieran has the power. He asks do you want me to tell him, she no and she’ll do it, she asks again and he relents but says I’m walking you home tonight. Waking up she made breakfast while thinking how he found her as she only used cash, looking at the time she called the cleaning agency to find where she was going and headed out with Emma. Putting Emma to sleep she heads to the bar, Sean sent her home early as she looked exhausted, before leaving he asked if she told Kieran, smiling she said yes, he sighs in defeat and tells her get home safe. Saying thank you she leaves. The walk home was fairly quiet, when Irma’s cafe was in sight she sighed in relief, as she rounded the corner there was a guy leaning against the wall moving to the other side of the path she walked passed him & quickened her steps as he pushed off the wall, he grabbed her arm & threw her against the wall, pulling the hood down stood Trevor. Seething in front of her, arms against each side of the wall not letting her escape, saying you think you can run away with my daughter and not pay for it. Grabbing her chin he digs into it. She says you’ve got the money just go, he tells her you didn’t pay the other guy did, & there’s nobody to save her now. She asks do you want more money & gives him the tips from tonight, he says no but pockets it anyway. Moving closer he starts touching her, knowing can’t let him do this she knees him, he makes a sound but doesn’t move, he backhands causing her to fall onto the ground. He tells her it won’t be the last time he sees her & walks away. Gathering herself she heads to her apartment. A knock on the door Kieran’s outside saying it was him asking to come in, after saying it’s not a good time he said he’ll stay outside her door for a while to make sure she’s safe. After crying a bit more she went into her bedroom, changed into her pyjamas washed her face & opened the door to let him in. He didn’t say anything just let her cry. After waking up & realising the time she got ready & went to Emma’s room to find it empty & went to the kitchen to find Kieran cooking & telling her Emma’s going to spend the day with Irma & that she didn’t need to worry about work. After having breakfast he asked what happened, he saw the mark on her face last night, what happened. After telling him it was a customer, he picks her up & puts her over his legs & spanks her once he’s done he picks her up into his lap & says you can tell me when your ready. After a beat she tells him about Trevor. He tells she risked her safety & she’s getting spanked again but with his belt. After he’s done he picks her up again onto his lap she’s not to do it again. He tells Sean if he bothers her or steps into this bar he wants to know. Sean nods & say got it boss. Kieran turns around, taking her arm in his they head out. After walking her home and helping her get dressed he tucks her in and he lets himself out. After getting ready her & Emma head downstairs, Irma asks how things are going with Kieran, she says really well, pretty serious then. So serious that he’s asked me to watch Emma again. She had Kieran’s apartment again, after entering the apartment she finds a box on the tag there’s a message for her apologies that he’s not there and will back soon & she’s expected to wear what’s inside, after she’s changed she starts cleaning. He tells her that he’s going inspect her work & if he finds anything missed he’s going punish her & then pleasure her. It had been a few days since she heard from Kieran & was wondering if he felt different. Her next cleaning job was at his hoping she could speak to him she grabbed her things & went to his apartment, once arriving she found a note saying he’s moved & his new address. Grabbing her things she goes to the address. Knocking on the door, he opens the door & lets her in. Taking her cleaning items & putting them to the side he tells her he wants show her around. He takes her through several rooms & stops at one saying this would Emma’s room, before she can say anything he continues round to another room saying this one would be hers. Unable to put everything together she tells him I can’t do this I don’t want charity. Explaining that he wanted to do this and he didn’t ask. Each day he took her to the pub and walks her home at night to her apartment. Liam already knew about Leah, his brothers gave him some grief when he told them, but saved from interrogation when his phone rang. He left to go to the house to meet the contractor. Glancing at the clock, noting that the pub would close soon he headed over. Sitting down next to Liam who was keeping an eye on her, he asked her for a glass of whiskey. Liam finishes his drink and tells him that Declan saw Trevor not to far from here today. He tells him to make sure the family is in place within the hour. I want everyone, give me a call when your ready & I’ll get her home safely. He tells Kieran give us the signal and we’ll all be there, and leaves, leaving him to drink his whiskey while he waits for Leah. When she’s ready they leave. It hadn’t even been a block when a hooded figure ventured from the side alley & cut off their stroll. He pushes Leah behind him, instantly knowing it was Trevor. Glassy eyes, face painted with fury aimed at Leah. He screeches her name. Not waiting for her to say anything he says his name. He asked who he was, with a chuckle he lifted a finger & his men filled the street. He told Trevor his name. Trevor says Leah owes him. Kieran tells Leah to take a step back. After a few punches Trevor lay on the ground. He tells Trevor that his name is well known in this city and doesn’t stop here, he’d do well to remember that. Leah belongs to him now and doesn’t owe you anything. He tells him his mercy only goes so far and if he’s not gone by the morning his mercy ends. If you ever set foot in my city again you’ll be living on borrowed time. In a shakey voice he asks who he is. He tells Trevor he’s the Kingpin of the Irish mafia his eyes widen with understanding. He tells Trevor that he needs get out of this city before sunrise or my men will find you, as of today your marriage has ended, you will not contact Leah, and you’ve lost parental rights over Emma, if you contact either of them my men will find you. He tells Kieran he’s got it. Kieran tells him to go, & doesn’t want to see his face in this city again. He screeches never & crawls back until he can get to his feet & runs. He tells his men that he wants eyes on him until he leaves. He tells Leah to come to him, she runs to him & throws her arm around him, he tells her she’s safe, now & forever. He holds her until she stops shaking, he tells her that he’s going to stay the night & tomorrow she’s going to move in with him. A week later, Leah looks at her closet trying to reorganise her clothes to make them look make them look more deserving. His house was beautiful, but wasn’t used to anything this grand & kept feeling like she didn’t belong there. Kieran comes in and tells her not to worry they’ll fill the closet soon, & that he wants to show her something. He pulls her closer & leads her out of their room into Emma’s. She loved the pink walks & the furniture. Kieran pulled her over to the closet filled with brand new clothes. She wasn’t able to say anything for a minute overwhelmed by anger & pride, it was all too much, her & her daughter weren’t a charity case. She tells him it’s too much the house, clothes… continuing by saying I can’t take being treated like a charity case. She turns to the clothes unable to look at him. He stood behind silently, & then wraps his hands around her chest pulling her closer. He tells her before she starts worrying about Emma’s clothes, she should see what he’s got for her and tells her to go their bedroom. Pulling away she runs from the room to theirs. He walks in the room with a long garment in his hand and tells her he bought her a dress and he’s taking her out tonight. She tells he shouldn’t have, ignoring her, he unzips it. She tells him she can’t wear it, he tells her it’s not up to her. He tells her he knows a lot of things have changed over this week & understands than it can be overwhelming & wants to tell her something, before he can continue, she goes to say it’s too much and that’s she not his charity case. Before she can finish he scolds her and tells she not & will never be a charity case. He tells her she belongs to him & he takes care of what’s his. If he wants to wrap her in pretty clothes, take her out on a date he will because it makes him happy. Outside the apartment was a limo that drove them to the restaurant. Kieran led her inside & the staff showed them to the private room. The room was decorated with candles, rose petals scattered on the table. He took her hand and led her to her seat before sitting down. The waiter came over & poured two glasses of red for them. After dinner he asks her to stand up and pulls out an envelope out of his pocket & tells her took care of something. He told her that her marriage with Trevor is over & a restraining order has been put out. He tells now they’ve dealt with the past, let’s talk about the future. He reaches into his pocket & pulls out a box inside a diamond ring. Before she knew it he took her left hand and slid on the ring. He didn’t ask her permission, he didn’t need to. A month later. Kieran wrapped his hands Leah’s waist his arms pressed against her belly. They’d just found out they were pregnant & were about to tell Emma. Standing in the playroom they were watching Emma play. He asks Emma if he can tell her a secret. She says I think so, and he tells her. I saw this on tiktok and thought I'd give it a read. I love mafia romance and the daddy element was a bonus. It leans more towards that side of the story than the mafia side in my opinion. Its mentioned but not dark like a lot I have read. Leah wanted to do things on her own but when keiran found her he wanted to give her everything. Spanking is at the forefront in this book which adds the spice element to the story. Good read.

Such a great story. I couldn't put it down at all. I spent the entire day reading it. The author did a great job writing this.

One of the best books I've read. Ever....recently I stop reading books halfway through as bored of them. But this book was the first in a while to be completed and hoped for a second book.

An alpha male who takes care of his 'little girl'...although she didn't expect a mafia style man to be the one who wants her. Oh boy....never put yourself down...that leads to punishment and she does not think she is good enough for this wealthy handsome man. Such fun...

Writing style was really bitty and suddenly jumps to scenes leaving no build up of a relationship. Id say that the main character is actually a neglectful mother. Leaving her young daughter alone at nights, leaving her alone overnight dosed on medication whilst sick and having a man around her very quickly and within a couple weeks to a month, moves in with him and gets engaged. Month later she's pregnant. The male main character isnt hot controlling but creepy controlling. Author I don't believe understands ddlg or a bdsm relationship. The actual smut scenes are boring and the same throughout.

Enjoyable story was written well. Amazing story I loved everything about it and want more to read can't waite for it

Take Me Daddy, is book 1 in Boston Kings. I really enjoyed this spice & kinky story, if spanking is a hard limit for you then this book is not for you. Leah is a single mom to 3 year old Emma, she is hiding from her violent ex, Kieran is the head of the Murphy family and when the 2 of them met it was like a firework of spices exploded, the chemistry between the 2 of them was 11 out of 10 mixed with plenty of kink. Only critique I have is the lack of "mafia" it's there but then not really.

Loved the story line, loved the characters, and especially loved the spice! Everyone needs a Dom like Kieran in their life! 🤤❤️

Characters pretty sketchy. No real substance.hero is more of a sadist than a dominant. heroine lacks character.Not the worst book I’ve read but a couple of hours of my life I won’t get back.
