Good tool, ok case
The tool works perfectly but the down fall is the case! There is a clear window on the case and I had to glue it down. Would be better if the was one solid case

Needs serious air for torque, but so far so good.
I've read some of the other reviews and I've not had any of the issues others have - so far.One thing I will say is that in order to get real torque from the tool you have to be running serious pressure (likely just shy of the rated 90psi is best). Anyone thinking they can run this with an airbrush compressor is going to be very disappointed - bit any pancake compressor should be up to the task. As a test, at about 30psi I was able to easily stop the collet with a fingertip. For me so far the on/off "switch" is working. On the first run turning the collar to "On" did nothing, I had to switch it off and on again (IT Crowd fashion... lol) and then it was off and running. I hope that isn't a harbinger of issues to come. The ait tube M connector includes an O-ring that makes a decent seal on the included quick-connect coupler (which worked fine with my set-up) HOWEVER the female thread on the included "water filter" was VERY sloppy - no way that's not going to leak. I don't need it as I have a large filter on my supply line, but if you plan to use it be sure to have some Teflon tape (or plumber's putty) on hand to fill that gap.The tool includes a bottle for tool oil (the nozzle is shipped inverted into the bottle) - but it includes no oil, so you'll want to get some. I do note there's a review where the user complained of a failure of TWO units after a month of use - I have to wonder if this person was correctly oiling the tool. The included """instructions""" (I use that term loosely as they are next to nothing) makes no mention of tool oiling, but I assume in typical fashion it is correct to put a drop or 2 into the tool before each use / at least every few hours of service.IMO for the price you can't beat it, but if you're looking for something better than "hobbyist grade" you may wish to spend a bit more.

Reviewing: Gunpla Pneumatic Pencil Die Grinder...
The Gunpla P.P.D.G. feels solid when you pick it up. From the weight of it, and the feel of the bearings, the collets, and the overall balance of the tool in your hand (despite the air hose), it gives a distinct impression of quality. It takes all of 5 minutes to set up, and the smooth rpm's this baby die grinder achieves are truly impressive. All of that, and they go and put an air condom on it - a transparent ribbed plastic sleeve that goes over the air hose with one end "secured" over the tool's air outlet, and the other following the air hose for a couple of feet. They refer to it as a "silencer", but calling it an "exhaust diffuser" would be a far more accurate description. Its primary accomplishment is rerouting the exhaust air to come out at a distance from the base of the tool. Honestly, it's a clever innovation, it just looks and feels inelegant, and is thus incongruous with the main body of the tool.Despite this one shortcoming, I would still rate it with 5 stars, and recommend it as a good purchase.

Excellent set for micro-grinding, strong construction, well designed and works on low pressure air.
To me the best thing of this pencil grinder is that you can use a multitude of small bits, cutoff wheels and diamond coated bits and abrasive grinding and shaping tools of many brands. I turned my, incoming air supply down to 80 psi and may try other pressures with different bits and their uses. At this pressure the grinder was not over-powered and the seals etc. were fine and did not leak, and I believe that I could really blow this tool apart with 120 psi or higher and that would be a safety related- potential issue. Tried it on some Abalone shell and this small tool and bits can really do some ultra-fine work that is proof that this will create some intricate and beautiful carvings with a steady hand, ok, we will deal with that part later! High quality, durable and very useful grinder! Great find!
