I bought this for a standard lamp I have on a security timer.I was initially pleased with it but after a few months it failed to come on at the set times. As such it’s rendered useless.It’s been connected to an always on Wi-fi connection but is frequently unadjustable from an iPhone on the same network.Save yourself money & buy a mechanical timer.These ‘smart’ devices are in their infancy. Perhaps future versions will work.

Brought to control a lamp in my lounge.PROS: Cost effective, Easy to set up, doesn't drop connection much (only happened twice and that was due to power cuts messing my router), the eFamilyCloud app which controls this is really easy to use.I believe Alexa compatible but I havnt got Alexa yet.CONS: None really, for the price I think they are pretty impressive

I used to tell people that I could control my central heating and my Sky+ box remotely from my phone and that what I now needed was to be able to switch on my electric blanket before I got home on a cold night. Well now I can! I bought 2 of these (10% discount) and use 1 to operate said electric blanket and the other to turn on an uplighter in my lounge when I pull up outside my house so that the approach steps are lit up thus ensuring that I don't trip up. They are a very reasonable price and easy to set up. Of course you need WiFi because that's how it all works. The eFamilyCloud app is free and you can rename your sockets to avoid confusion: eg Blanket and Uplighter instead of Plug 1 and Plug 2. All in all an inexpensive, useful piece of kit I would thoroughly recommend.

Purchased this item to control a remote table lamp (used to have a Hive controlled bulb but that had a mind of it's own - would stay on all night at times and kept on turning the hot water off too!).Dead easy to set up and has been working perfectly ever since. The app is beautifully simple too. And best of all it was a lot cheaper to buy this smart plug and an LED bulb than it was to buy the Hive bulb alone.

Very useful device in my household. I've got few of them and this LEMAIKJ smart socket for voice control of my outdoor spotlights set. Now I can control my garden illumination from anywhere by smartphone! It has time-control settings as well, but voice control is more useful for me. Good and reasonably priced, so highly recommended.

Bought this to use with the Christmas lights on the tree as the switch was low down and right at the back. It works great with both my Lenovo tablet and my wife's android phone. Bonus is that it can be programmed to turn on and off as well as using the on off on the app. Will be buying the Amazon dot as it works with this as well.

when you pair this device with a alexa (we use it to control a table lamp) when we say "Alexa lights off" it not only turns off the socket as I would expect, but it also turns off the USB port too rendering it useless as a charging point. You have to go into the app to turn the usb port back on. I cant find a way to get alexa to just turn off the socket and leaver the usb powered

Bought two of these. They worked perfectly until recently. Came home from a holiday on 3rd Feb 2018 to find that they would no longer log in via Google Home.Going to try to get Amazon to take them back as they are useless to me now.Edit for typo and clarification of issue.
