Product Description Take One revitalising formula tongue gel, used in conjunction with Take One triple action tongue cleaner, effectively and safely helps to remove bad breath-causing bacteria on the tongue by raising the ‘gunk’ between the crevices (i.e. taste buds) and then removing it from the mouth with the scraper section of the tongue scraper's head. The most widely-known reason to clean the tongue is for the control of bad breath. Methods commonly used against bad breath, such as mints, mouth sprays, mouthwash or gum, only temporarily mask the odours created by the bacteria on the tongue, but cannot cure bad breath because they do not remove the source of the problem. In order to prevent the production of the sulphur-containing compounds mentioned above, the bacteria on the tongue must be removed, as must the decaying food debris present at the back of the tongue. Ingredients Sorbitol, aqua, hydrated silica, peg-8, xylitol, xanthan gum, aroma, zinc lactate, sodium saccharin, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium methylparaben, lactic acid, CI 74160, CI 42090.

I wish I'd discovered this years ago!
I came across this tongue gel a few months ago, and I wish I'd discovered it years ago! It has transformed my confidence, I can kiss my wife without worrying about bad breath now. Yes, it really is that good. You need to apply it with a tongue brush like
Tung Brush for Treating Bad Breath and Tongue Gunk
otherwise you won't get the full effect, though.One of the reviews said that the gel is like ordinary toothpaste - I disagree with that. I ran out of tongue gel while I was away travelling and I had to use the tongue brush with ordinary toothpaste and it didn't have quite the same effect, I couldn't work it into the tongue as easily and so the gunk, for want of a better word, did not all come off. If you suffer from bad breath caused by tongue gunk, you really have to get rid of all of it, otherwise you'll still have lingering bad breath. My wife has a nose like a blood hound, so trust me, I know :)The little tube lasted for ages when I was travelling - about 10 weeks using a relatively frugal pea of gel twice each day, and the cap doubles up as a small cup for rinsing or taking pills if you're travelling. It's a bit sad to get so animated about tongue gel, I know, but you can't put a price on confidence.

Kind of an adios to mouth gunk
Delivers a subtle pleasant mint taste that doesn't seem to last too long after use.The results are ok, but they are less obvious than those achieved when using the alternative Dr. Tung gel product.One positive is the dispenser. By using a pump I do find myself using less. (With Dr. Tung's gel, I tend to clean a second time. Think of it like a prewash & mainwash kinda thing. Using a Dr. Tung's low profile brush is a must and in the 2nd 'mainwash', you can see there is no more crud left after using a stainless steel tongue cleaner. The flipside is that the container is empty sooner and you're reaching for another tube of the stuff. But, as you've obviously taken the extra step to make sure your mouth is clean, might as well spend a few extra pennies and do a proper job.)I can't help but think it's the pump packaging you are paying for with this brand. Not overly impressed with the results. Not bad, but not all that special either.

This is a nice gel that helps give a fresh feeling in the mouth. I’m not convinced that a toothpaste wouldn’t do the same job, however I would say that it is very effective at dealing with “furry” tongue and makes the mouth feel very clean.

I don't think that this does anything more than an ordinary minty gel based toothpaste does. My tongue did not stay cleaner for longer, or felt any different than when using a tongue brush and this gel. 3 stars because 1) okay price 2) arrived quick and 3) airless pump

Love this and obviously we all brush our teeth - But that tongue of ours! Yuck! I wouldn't put mine in my mouth - Oh I have! I used to use salt and toothpaste on my toothbrush to clean my tongue but, although it cleaned my tongue, there was always a 'taste' and I don't mean halitosis - This stuff with the other tongue products I bought is a dream - My tongue never been so pink, clean and playfull - opps - 10 out of 10 products.

First of all, this tastes like my favourite gum (I was quite pleasantly surprised!) So, lovely minty fresh flavour and very effective!I used a tongue brush to get rid of the top coat of tongue debris then used a pea sized amount of this and it helped remove the remaining layer of debris. I used it before bed and woke up for the first time in years without morning breath!Used it again in the morning before starting my day and went all day without bad breath. I truly love this product and it will become a bathroom staple :)
