The Leather has been tanned with paraffin wax that creates a luxurious feel and an artificial aged appearance, giving it a distressed rugged look. This exhibits an antique effect. One of the first things I do with any new crazy horse item I make for myself is to bend and fold the piece as much as possible. The oils and colors seem to burst from the hide. Any leather like this is for the person who truly enjoys the natural beauty of leather. The hide has been glossed with a beautiful shiny finish bringing the antique and modern look together. We only deal in top grain leather as appose to spilt hide. Top Grain includes the actual surface of the skin with all of its natural pores, wrinkles, and scars. It is the strongest part of the hide. They distinguish genuine leather from man-made materials. Some marks can appear on the surface of leather which are healed scratches. In some cases a small hole(s) can result from the tanning process. Any of these markings may be present on your leather and is your assurance that you have a true top grain leather. Leather is a natural product; grain pattern and color may vary from hide to hide and within the hide. Please note: Each leather item is packaged in a plastic protection cover. This leather is beautiful...not too thick-not too thin. My hands are not as strong as they used to be but I have very little trouble working this leather. The color is consistent and gloriously blue on the back, the top/front has a weird texture-waxy or slick, hence the star reduction. Im using the back side as the front, and should have gotten more. The product came in a very timely manner, without any damage or evident stress, the companies logo tape was in tact at both ends of the package. I wouldnt hesitate to be a regular customer with this company or recommend it to others ;D

Great leather
Strong and consistent, looks nice too.The leather is not as supple as some other leathers but I didn't expect this one to be.Its more a strong sturdy leather but not too thick, maybe slightly thin ? But good god I wouldn't want it any thicker!It looks nice, feels smooth, and looks great.Definitely something that will last.
