This one's a keeper.....
I been have looking for a cordless heat gun for a while now. I have tried several on Amazon and never found one that met my needs. I mainly use a heat gun for heat shrink tubing and heat sealing tubing. And sometimes for other misc tasks. Then I found this one and my search is over. This fits comfortably in my hand and heats up quickly. It has 2 speeds and comes with two batteries. The 2 batteries are what I like because an issue I had with others was that the battery died while using it for a while. I then had to pause and recharge it and then back to my task. No more interruptions!! It does come with additional attachments which is nice also. I love the flat attachment (not sure what it's called). If you're looking for an all-around heat gun, this should be the last one you look at.

Preety Good
My initial impressions of this unit were less than stellar. The seller reached out to me to see if they could assist in resolving my issue. And indeed they did.The unit itself is very light and easy to maneuver, and it does indeed work with 20V Dewalt batteries or their many clones. Battery life is good with this unit. The attachments are nice and make some of the smaller work in specific areas a bit easier. It is well made and being cordless makes it very convenient, especially for projects indoors, or a quick repair. It does not however have the power of a corded heat gun, so if you are looking to do some heavier heat shrink, it will take a bit longer to get the job done. But for most basic DIY charge jobs, it will do just fine.

Not as hot as corded guns but, for me, a must have!
It is what it is. This is a battery powered heat gun and is not as powerful is an AC model, but it is great for removing labels from plastic bags and boxes, and for heat shrinking wire shrink tubing, and it is portable! The heat is not as hot as my other heat guns but that is actually better for not melting through tubing and plastic bags. I would not recommend it for paint stripping or anything that requires extended run time since it overheats if used continuously. It is good if you run it for 2 or 3 minutes then let it rest for 15 to 30 seconds. It is very stable standing on its battery, so I just leave it sitting on my workbench where it is quick to grab when I need it! After use, I stand it up again to cool! No cord to yank it off the bench with or for me to hit and cause it to accidentally melt something!I have used it on several cars, boats and trailers to seal the wiring, and use it every week to remove Amazon labels from boxes. My main concern has been that, like other non-mainstream brands, I may not be able to find batteries for it in a few years when the included ones fail. Many thanks to the Amazon Vine reviewer who noticed that the batteries have the same connection as Makita batteries! Now I can get good quality replacements if I need them! I also have a 20V wet/dry vac that uses this battery!Battery nerd time: The 18650 Lithium cells used in these packs are 3.6V-3.7V nominal and 4.2V fully charged. Battery packs like this use 1,2, or 3 sets of 5 cells each to provide 18.5V nominal and 21V fully charged. The protection circuit in the battery drops the fully charged voltage to around 20V. 18V, 20V, and these 21V batteries are all the same type of battery! Marketing dictates how they are labelled, and the only difference is in the quality of the cells and the protection circuit. Mainstream batteries tend to be better quality, have a measured capacity closer to their labeled Ah rating, and last longer, but cost more!

A Must Have For Automotive Wiring
This heat gun has really sped up my automotive wiring repairs and modifications. I use it mainly for heat shrink tubing. It is so nice to just grab this gun, take it to the repair and shrink the tubing. No need to drag out an extension cord anymore. This gun heats up super fast and has a really long battery life. The extra bonus over a wired head gun is you don't have to worry about setting it down, it stands up on the battery as a base. No worries about the end touching something and melting it.

10 Hours Use - Dead
Used for probably 10 hours over 2 years. Last few uses it would cut off after 5 or 10 mins. It would come back to life and I thought it was just over temp. Today it just blows cold air. This thing was not cheap. I am done with garbage made you know where. Thousands of dollars wasted on Amazon for garbage out of that country. Enough.

Sad Day Gun RX
Today, a Sad day in the middle of a job the heating element died. Blows but no heat. I liked the balanced gun design and 2 batteries but The gun was constantly overheating after About a minute or two of run time. It would switch into a cool mode and then heated back up. I really wanted this to work. Is it possible to replace the element?
