Chuck full of great growing projects
This is a great book with a decent amount of information on what can be grown indoors in pots. I absolutely all of the projects that are in it, and I plan on completing several of once I get my indoor garden up and running. While this book is great, I would suggest buying another one to give you more information on how to grow certain plants indoors, add they really don't need to be planted at certain times of the year if you are supplementing the light rather than using natural light.

COVID 19 apartment farming - GREAT READ and inspirational
I got the kindle version for an amazingly low price AFTER i got it from the Library. The key thing is that the book is broad and really there is not that much detail you can impart about growing indoors - get things right, try and try again until it works. I live in a dark apartment so I bought lights and went that route. This book was so inspiring in the ways and suggestions to use plants as decor as well as growing food.

Great resource
I was really happy with this book. There are many pictures and illustrations and ideas for utilizing the nooks and crannies in small spaces in your home to grow an indoor garden. There's specific instructions on how to do things on your own inexpensively and which plants grow best and also how to do some really nice decorative pots with plants that produce. It is definitely a book I will refer back to often.

Great gift idea
I have purchased this book three times for gifts and will likely buy more. It is one of those books that everyone can use and enjoy even if they didn’t think so, beforehand. Filled with useful tips and inspiring images. For a great gift, present with a planter or two!

Will set you up for indoor gardening success
Great instructions with creative ideas for indoor gardens. Not all ideas are affordable or accessible ( not all living spaces are right for installing shelves, for example), however as a guideline, this book is great and will certainly set you up for indoor gardening success. Covers a lot of aspects of indoor growing, including sprouts, herbs, greens, flowers, root veggies and the classics like tomatoes and peppers. Wonderful photography throughout makes directions easy to follow.

Reads horrible on Kindle Fire Tablet
I bought this book looking for some good information and wanting to start an at home veggie garden. I bought the Kindle version and downloaded it with not problems onto my Kindle Fire tablet. I went to read it but the writing is so tiny you can't see it. I enlarged the page to be able to see the writing however the page floats around all over the place making it impossible to even read. I am considering the paperback version of it because for the page or two I read it did seem to have some good information. I have read other books on home gardening, but they lacked the information. The author of this book seemed to have all the missing links to getting started with a home garden. It just does not work well on the Kindle Fire tablet.

DK Style really works - Elegant photographs, concise practical descriptions.
This is a really elegant motivational book, with just the right amount of information for each edible plant covering from Adzuki bean sprouts to Viola flowers. The popular and unusual edible leaves and herbs are all here. There are plenty of other plant ideas to be found in the book - figs, strawberries, tomatoes, cucamelons plus many others can be found here. The book gives information and suggestions for different types of containers for different types of plant. For example muffin cases are suggested for growing microgreens, such as radish, mizuna, mustard, rocket, coriander and gives the time to harvest as between twelve and twenty-one days., but carrots will need a plastic bucket and take 12 - 16 weeks before harvest. Advice on :- containers, compost, watering, feeding and lighting can all be found here. This book will be good for stimulating the reader to start growing indoor edibles of different types or would make a good gift together with a packet or two of sprouting seeds for someone who might want to grow edible plants indoors, but just needed a bit of inspiration.

One of the best books on indoor gardening
This book is fantastic! It gives you complex information on what and how to grow indoor. The ideas are oryginal and creative, the visuals (photos) are executed so well. The author Zia Allaway describes how to prepare for, and how to find an optimal indoor place for each kind and how to make unique pots. Then, gives a range of each plant varietes, and what indoor conditions have to be meet in order to grow sucessfuly. This part may be a bit of surprise even for experienced gardeners, as indoor 'climate' is really different. This book is definitely for those who need a solid information as well as for those who feed their creativity with visuals. Fresh and oryginal. An abundant bunch of inspiration for coming Spring-Summer season in our harsh times right now.

Kindle Version Really Frustrating
I purchased the Kindle version of this book and was almost too frustrated by it to read the whole book. My Kindle is only in Black and White so all the (I imagine) wonderfully colourful pictures, diagrams, illustrations etc are just greyscale. Ok so I knew this going in, but it actually meant I couldn't read some bits - for example, any text written in white inside a lightly coloured bubble didn't show up. Also, all the pages seem to be rendered as pictures in the Kindle view so you can't adjust the font size like you can a normal kindle book. This was a problem because much of the text is too small to read on a small kindle screen without zooming in, waiting for it to refocus, having to move the view slightly across the page to get the rest of that line and wait for it to focus again, then back... and so on and so forth. It got old really quickly! And finally, it was a bit buggy and kept kicking me out saying an error had occurred. All that said, the content of the book itself was good. Lots of information on the types of edible plants you can grow indoors and under what conditions etc., and ideas for fun projects to get you started. The hard copy full colour version would be lovely I'm sure!
