I wish I knew about this product sooner! Our dog had two cancerous growths surgically removed on her leg 4 months ago and prior to that she had to wear a cone for awhile until the surgery. We hated that she had to keep wearing the cone due to licking the wound and post surgery stitches. Her leg healed nicely but if we ever took off her cone she’d lick at it and the scar would turn raw again. This wrist brace is similar to humans and works perfectly to prevent licking and allowing dogs freedom from the cone. My girl didn’t touch the brace at all, she left it unbothered and moved around just fine. I would check her scar area just to be sure if wasn’t an issue having the brace one it and it was also fine. I highly recommend if your dog has licking tendencies and keeps reopening wounds. Would also be great for dogs with leg allergies.

I order this for my front Tripod Mastiff, I order an XL, and it almost fit, So I thought I would just have it on hand in case of emergency for my other dog. My neighbor GS, has arthritis and not so steady on his leg, We tried it on him and once he got use to it, she said he walked with less of a limp and says it’s help out the last few days. So, maybe an XXL will be in the future???…. Amazing customer support is included in the package , even a little card for the fur baby and I love that it is a Family small business - Will be buying more for my neighbor. Nice price and Nice product .

Great brace if you want something supportive but not restrictive. Problem I had was fit. I have a Boxer, so the length of brace he needed was to big regarding circumference. The brace barely attaches at velcro at bottom two straps. There is only two sizes available.

EDIT: After this scathing review, they finally reached out to me to replace the one I bought that did not work. The new one does work, well enough. My earlier review simply pointed out that I believed their insert that said to email them if there is a fit problem, instead of returning to Amazon. I am sure they are trying to preserve their Amazon internal ratings by including such an insert with directions. But then they did not do what they said they would do, and I missed the return window, so that was frustrating. After I left the review below they finally made good on their promise to replace the one I purchased. So if you buy, know that their insert may be full of empty promises, and choose the right size for your dog. Likely you need smaller than you might think. Is it the best? I don't know, it could have two straps around instead of one, but it works well enough.________________________Original review:At first I thought their customer service was absolutely incredible. They have an insert in the package that says "If you need another size, just email us directly." I usually go through Amazon for that stuff but thought, it is inexpensive, I will give them a shot and email them instead. They keep a better sales rating that way. And wow, they wrote write back and said "don't return it, we will send you a new one right away in the smaller size since this one did not work, and then just keep the old one and donate it to a shelter." Wow, what great service, I thought. ....3 weeks later, I email again, and they respond right away and say "sorry the label did not have your name, it is going out today now that we have your name." 3 weeks later, nope. ......So I email again, nicely, and guess what? No reply this time. And again.They suckered me in, not once but 3 times. So, if you want an exchange of this product, USE AMAZON and DO NOT EMAIL THEM expecting good service. Maybe the product works, but I will never know.

Our dog has had a limp from his front leg for a couple of weeks now. At least he does when he is not tearing out of the front door and jumping off the porch or chasing after something. We have cut back on the days we usually take our two dogs on walks or to the dog park while he heals. But we cannot just stop with these two, they are very active. So, I tried this on him for a walk today and I do think the support helped him. It looks exactly like the one in the photo.

This brace worked perfectly for our large German Shepherd. She fractured her leg and it healed but she jumped over a ladder and I thought she broke it again. After wearing this brace for 2 days she was able to walk. It was easy to put on our dog and she didn’t seem to notice it was on. We removed it after a few days and she’s walking normal. Probably a sprain - it gave her the support needed and saved us an expensive vet visit.

Return the item without trying on my dog. Obviously inadequate. The extra large is 6 inches wide.

My Doberman has a lick granuloma that he will not leave alone. It’s on his wrist and I’ve tried everything. Every time I wrap it, he bites through the wrapping. It breaks my heart to put an Elizabethan collar on him, (it took me forever to break down and do it ) and he got it off.! lol so as the last resort I bought this on Amazon. When I treat him now with either Manuka honey or a topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory with DMSO after I wrap it I just put this little brace on and he doesn’t even try to bite it. He just leaves it alone. Thank God. I’m so pleasantly surprised. It’s very flexible too, and I love how you can make it loose at the joint so it’s bendable. There are two velcro tabs at the paw and the wrist and just above the wrist. There’s a strap that’s Velcro. Well done whoever created this product did a great job. Thank you!!
