contains both traditional and simplified words
These are a very good set of vocabulary cards. Vocabulary cards for Chinese are difficult to make as you have to decide between traditional of simplified and include both the English translation and pinyin for pronunciation. The manufacturers of these cards solve this problem by including all of the above. I think this is a good solution.

useful to assist in learning Mandarin
I believe these cards can be useful to help one learn Mandarin, especially the written language. They have the word written in Traditional and Simplified characters on one side, then it in Pinyin and English on the other side, along with a simple phrase in all four beneath that. The words are grouped together (Greetings, Questions, Colors, Food & Drink, Verbs, etc.), and there are downloadable audio files so you can hear how the words/phrases are pronounced. The drawbacks? I wish the words/phrases were also phonetically spelled out, as you may end up pausing and replaying the audio tracks several times to figure out the pronunciation (Pinyin doesn't exactly translate into how to say it unless you're very familiar with the accents). Also, the audio files run into each other, so it's a bit tricky navigating them until you do nail down each word/phrase. That's why I feel these flash cards may be better for understanding the written language (characters) than the spoken language.

Love them! These are excellent in so many important ways.
These Chinese (Mandarin pronunciation) flashcards are amazing! I remember years ago taking Chinese in college and making my own flashcards and storing them in small plastic boxes. It was helpful to learn vocabulary, but so primitive compared with these. These flashcards are great in multiple way. They are glossy, colorful and attractive which is motivational and helpful for memory triggers. It also makes them more fun to practice with than my old "ink and index card" approach. They have so much information, so well laid out on each card.At the top they have the pinyin pronunciation, including tones. Underneath, also in large type that is easy to read, they have the English translation. To the right of this, there is a colorful illustration of the word. Then, some space down, is a great part that surprised me: The word used in a sample sentence that is translated four different ways: (1) Written in traditional characters; (2) Written in simplified characters; (3) Written out in pinyin for easy pronunciation if you can't read Chinese, and (4) the English translation. That is all wonderful to have, but there's still more: each card is color coded for the part of speech--red for nouns, brown for verbs, etc. And on that color coded band is the category of object "For example: "train" is "Transportation"). There is a website with an mp3 for each word and it's ID number is included on the card so you can easily find and listen to it.On the flip side of the card, for those who want to learn to read Mandarin, the traditional and simplified characters are labeled as such, written clearly, but without translation. Excellent! These 218 words are wonderfully presented,, but I hope there will be follow-up vocabulary sets. I liked these and found gaps in my memory (really enjoyed the sentences, in particular), but would like to learn/review many more. I think this is excellent practice for beginners and those who already know some Mandarin and want to continue to build their vocabulary, whether reading, writing, speaking or all of the above.

Good Quality Set
This set of flash cards is good quality. They are on a good card stock and the print is clear. The cards are well organized with all of the information you need to learn the word as well as read it in Chinese Mandarin. As a bonus you have access to the mp3 audio through the company’s website. It is just a folder of mp3 files so it takes some time to find the file you are looking for; however, each card does have an mp3 reference number to make it easier. Overall this set of flash cards are a good supplement to language learning programs.

High quality flashcards
The flashcards are well-made. The paper material and the printing are high quality. Most importantly, the content is well structured and organized, and the wording and translation are correct. It’s a great companion for Chinese-language learners. They can practice the language at any time. Each card has both traditional and simplified Chinese texts. Although China’s official language is simplified Chinese, Taiwanese and many oversea Chinese still use traditional characters.
