With these clamps, you can completely unscrew, open, and place the clamp around the duct, and then easily tighen the clamp without having to remove the duct. These clamps use a screw head designed for both a screw driver and a nut driver which offer the option to use whichever is best suited for a particular job. The steel construction and hex head screw allows you to make tighter connections compared to some other styles of clamps. I find that using a nut driver on the hex shaped portion of the screw allows tighening the clamp tighter with little chance of the tool slipping off the screw.

I'm using these clamps to hold my Flag pole up at my boat dock.

These are the perfect size for use with creating a Sidemount or stage setup on 8" diameter scuba tanks. They are plenty strong and are corrosion resistant. You could easily use it on 7.25" tanks, but it might be too big for something like an al40 or less.

I used these to attach 6" duct to bathroom ceiling Fans. They are perfect for the inside, though you need to really squeeze for the outside (with the insulation) They are good quality and packaged nicely.

I've had bad luck with this style of hose clamp, they get to a point and strip and then won't work again no matter how much I fiddle with trying to straighten out the metal.When I saw these on Amazon for this price I was really skeptical so I made the minimum order. No problem with these clamps, they totally rock. They tighten down nice and tight every time. You can open them back up and close them again just like you always thought they were supposed to operate.I bought 18 of them and they're all good. What can I say? It's a hose clamp! But seriously, these do work exactly as they should. I decided to purchase these because I find myself constantly running to the big box stores to buy new hose clamps every time we move (and with my Gypsy blood, it's often). Being able to buy several at one time and keep them on hand helps us get moved in and settled much more quickly!
