Original Permalba Black is a unique blend of organic and inorganic blacks and other pigments. The blackest black results in single stroke coverage. Formulated with a specially designed structure that eliminates oil separation, while producing crisp distinct strokes and maintaining ease of use with it's buttery consistency. Professional Permalba Artist Oil Colors are made from densely concentrated pigments, and formulated with refined linseed and safflower oils which minimize after yellowing and promote maximum film flexibility. With the exclusion of the iridescent colors which are not yet rated, the entire Permalba is rated as ASTM Lightfastness I. Traditional pigments with low lightfastness have been replaced with contemporary alternatives, giving the artist the same traditional hues so richly prized but with superior color retention.
