great does what it's suppossed to do!
I would recommend "Corvette" for nintendo gba for any chevy corvette and gameboy fan. It's fun yet it gives you a challenge.

Better than the home console versions.
Corvette is a pretty game with archaic gameplay. It's impressive what has been done with the track environments but the gameplay brings back memories of Pole Position and Enduro Racer on the Atari 2600.The graphics feature blocky looking cars against detailed polygonal environments. The environments are graphically quite varied with towns, cities, countryside, plains, and coastal environments. On the side of the road you will see cattle, sail boats and hot air balloons among other things. Everything looks quite impressive when compared to earlier racing efforts on the Game Boy Advance. All this comes with a heavy price of a very close draw in distance. Luckily cars are visible beyond the draw in and arrows tell you whether a mild (green) or tight (red) turn is coming up.The main gameplay mode is the Corvette Challenge. This takes you from the 1953 Corvette through the years to faster cars and tougher challenges. Each year has three challenges; Rally, Grand Prix, and Extra. Rally has you driving cross country racing the clock and one other challenger. Grand Prix has you competing against 7 other cars in a 2 lap course to finish first. Extra varies giving you challenges such as reaching a goal speed, doing slalom with cones, or bashing into cars until they wreck. Outside of Extra the gameplay is strait out of the early 80s with you driving down a track with left and right turns but no hills. You try to avoid the other cars and if you hit them you wreck and are reset or lose a great deal of speed. These wrecks don't seem to have any effect on the drone cars just like in the 80s. Extra provides some variety but these challenges are quite short. The cars you drive handle quite sluggish at first but at the end of the game finally start to feel about right just before the game is over. All in all Corvette was fun enough for me to finish (it's a short game). It'll be fun to someone that wants a retro feeling racer. What it does not do is provide the feeling of driving your dream Corvette.

It's ok, but not your best bet.
This game is ok. Can get kind of boring after a while. Not the greatest in racing though. I haven't played too many racing games for the GBA system so I can't really compare it that well, but I would have to say my favorite racing game of all is Top Gear 2 for the Super Nintendo.I like just basic racing, no additional shooting or objectives (like with GTA etc) other than winning the race, and Top Gear 2 lets you win money and build up your car with better parts which makes up for only having one car to play. This game has several different game modes (which you need to finish each for every level to reach the next and to unlock new cars). It is not very satisfying though, and you are left wanting something more. This game doesn't seem worth any more than $15 in my opinion... you would probably be better off buying one of the need for speed games instead...

Great for new gamers
My seven year old recieved a gameboy for his birthday from his dad last year and he loved race games. I found this to be a great, reasonable price for a game. This game is not intended to entertain older kids because it is really too easy, but for a newbie, its perfect..not too fast, not too slow, great music and very forgiving. Good practice for a young player who's not on the gameboy often.

A good basic racing game
Corvette is a nice, simple little racing game. It consists of eight "areas" of the US, each of which has three "challenges". The areas get sequentially tougher, and each one you beat unlocks a new Corvette. It's not a very long or complex game, but it's fun to leave in your GBA for when you need something to fill five to ten minutes (approx. one challenge). The races and challenges are just tough enough to be fun without being overly frustrating. The gameplay graphics are decent. The reward pictures of different Corvettes are oddly good, compared to the actual racing graphics. (That's your incentive to complete each race, by the way: to be able to buy pictures with the credits you earn. Possibly the world's most boring reward system.)I got this game in a GBA-SP bundle. I think I would have been a little disappointed if I had purchased it seperately for full price, but it was very nice as a bonus!

Average racing game
This game has a lot of different options. A lot of cars, a couple of courses, and about 20 hrs of gameplay to beat the game... Not very challenging, but the graphics are a little bit better than you'd expect for a portable game...
